And I think guest stability can be achieved without the need of increasing punishments, or implementing an archaic guilty until proven innocent model. It’s insulting to all parties. If this was about guest stability then there’s no need for Airbnb to financially benefit.

“if you've done nothing wrong you've nothing to fear”
If you have to cancel a booking, you have to explain yourself to AirBNB. Punish those who have a record of exploiting the system, don’t punish the users that made the service what it is today.

This new policy will do equally as little to protect them, unless that $1000 is going to the guest. But it won’t. The email announcing the policy changes clearly indicated this is to protect AirBNBs reputation, nothing more.
Those who would exploit others for financial gain will continue to do so regardless of this policy, this will only hurt legitimate hosts, and will only benefit Airbnb.

If a hosts has a pattern of canceling last minute, or poor performance, then they should be dealt with individually. But to put this on all hosts is not about fairness, it’s about increasing AirBNBs profits.
As a long time AirBNB Superhost, who’s never cancelled a booking unavoidably, the new host cancellation policy makes be consider shutting down the service outright.
It’s a money grab and a massive overreach, shame on you @Airbnb!

I currently do serverless Druxt Decoupled builds on Netlify, cheap (free mostly) and easy.

"Dalle" as in the OpenAI image creator? Jealous you have access. Disconcerted by the results. Looking forward to integrating it as a text 2 image field in Drupal and Druxt.
You know what they say; Have an itch? Scratch it. @DruxtJS has made me very itchy.
I appreciate the appreciation, and look forward to all the future collaborations from the Decoupled community. #OffWithTheHead
This is a @Decipher appreciation tweet.
Thanks for all your work on the JSON:API companion modules.
What core doesn't do, Stuart has a module for it.

Do I need to offer a solution to justify my frustration at the demise of global inclusivity? I hope not.
But as you say, an online experience can shine. Not having a solution is the best motivation, there's no point solving an issue that already has a solution.
Mixed reality interaction doesn't necessarily mean cameras, and to some they are a great source of anxiety.
More important is the second screen experience, the ability for the community, virtual and physical, to both watch and react/interact together.
"Watching a YouTube video a week later" is not at all the same as being an equal participant of a global community.
The conference is not the presentations. It's the coming together of the community, the interactions and discussions; the shared experience.
After two years of embracing remote conferences, both @DrupalCon and @decoupleddays have gone back to in person only. Will there still be options for the international community, or are we to be left behind? #frustrated
