Elections have consequences.
There are a lot of people right now trying to convince you that America isn’t worth preserving. Some want you to believe this country was rotten from the beginning, others want you to believe it is too far gone to save, and some are simply just sitting this one out.
But as my husband often said, “no black pilling!”
Take that to heart. If you sit out an election because you are disappointed with Republicans, you don’t get an empty government for two years. Somebody still wins and then they get to govern and they will use the power you handed them to turn this great country into one that is unrecognizable.
You inherited the freedom to vote. Don’t squander it.

The Lord is already ruling and reigning; every single human authority is already appointed by him (the just and the unjust). “For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.” (Romans 13:1)
You cannot change it even if you want to. You can only fulfill your duty under the Lord’s appointment—you can only submit in faith to the one who already rules and reigns and upholds the universe by the word of his power (Hebrews 1:3). This is a good thing, by the way, because he knows what he is doing, and we do not. Read the Epistle of King Nebuchadnezzar (Daniel 4), he understood this through a very hard lesson.
We ought to learn this too instead of biting and devouring one another like noobs who aren’t well versed in the letters God has so gracious given to instruct us.

Do you know why it is actually okay for the Christian to be defeated by his enemies in this life? Because we have eternal life in peace and joy with the Lord to come forevermore. Our enemies, as it currently stands, have hellfire that awaits them—being torn apart by the Lord forever and ever without peace. We die to them and for them, as Christ did to and for us, that they too may be saved and become our brothers. This is a hard thing to accept, but it is true.
