This is why YouTube's Copyright System and copyright law in general sucks so bad. ANYONE can be copyright claimed for ANYTHING, by ANYONE Even though it's illegal, false copyright claimers/strikers rarely get punished for abusing the copyright system
I've had a copyright claim submitted over a few small Tesla clips in my latest video while talking about some of the sweet Roadster thruster footage. Obviously all fair use. How is it fair @YouTubeCreators that a baseless claim like this can be made by a company that has absolutely nothing to do with Tesla? All monetisation removed again for up to 30 days including shopping and I just need to take it until my dispute expires. Add to that I need to tick boxes in my dispute submission agreeing that "I understand that filing fraudulent disputes may result in termination of my YouTube channel." For creators this stuff scares them into being bullied into having their earnings taken away. It only needs a 2 second glance to see that the claim itself is fraudulent, so such claims should never make their way to a creator in the first place. All the power is with the claimant, almost nothing with the creator. ๐Ÿฅบ

โ€œParents deserve controlโ€ Proceeds to explain how the government will raise children through mass surveillance instead of letting parents and guardians do their jobs ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ
Parents deserve control, and corporations must design for kids' safetyโ€”not addiction.

This was always about harvesting information. Not only are ID verification laws invasive, but theyโ€™re also incredibly ineffective At the end of the day, it always comes back to the same thing. Parents and guardians need to raise their children properly
๐ŸšจNEW: The Online Safety Act has been a failure, according to a new report from Ofcom. Ofcom have found "no significant change" in children encountering harmful content since the law came into effect last July. This is despite the signifigant threats to free speech and privacy.

Hey Habibi, Just wanted to say that I was in your chat the first day I heard you in Rust. I really enjoyed your role play and I was supporting you. Went to tune in on another day and I was banned from your chat... Disappointing that you hoped on the hate train like everyone else even though I treated you with kindness and respect.

YouTube went from hiding the dislike counter, to hiding the dislike button on Shorts, to completely removing the dislike button on Shorts, and now hiding the dislike button on long form videos. I bet the next update is to get rid of the dislike button entirely ๐Ÿ™„
YouTube is testing hiding the Dislike button on regular videos. For some users, the button has disappeared from the usual row and been moved into the three-dot menu, while Like is still right there. So if you want to dislike a video, you now have to open another menu first. After removing public dislike counts in 2021 and the Dislike button from Shorts, this feels like another step toward making dislikes harder to use.

So essentially, this Terry Schilling guy wants laws mandating ID verification to use social media... because his kids don't want to listen to him Because he can't raise his children properly, we all have to hand over our government IDs. This is laughably stupid
Snapchat, TikTok, and YouTube are stealing the joys of childhood from American kids and replacing them with anxiety, depression, and isolation at levels never before seen. We can stop this shameless profiteering, and we must.

Ofcom is trying to force companies/organizations outside of the UK to implement ID age verification Good to see some websites are willing to fight back against mass surveillance!
Ofcom admits it may never collect 4chanโ€™s ยฃ520,000 fine after the site responded to it with an AI-generated hamster The UK regulator says blocking 4chan in the UK could be an option

Imagine defending mass surveillance ID age verification laws by saying "companies have all of your information anyway, so give them more!" Meanwhile Terry Schilling is too afraid to actually defend his awful arguments live on stream. "Protecting the kids," yeah right
"Let's just dispel this myth: There is no privacy online." Age-verification for adult websites is common sense, and handwringing over privacy concerns is misplaced. The legislation surrounding age-verification makes data retention illegal. This means that these laws actually enhance privacy protection online. via @Schilling1776

It's really not "a matter of perspective." You admitted that you didn't even watch Connor's video before you struck him You have to review a video BEFORE you strike it to ensure it infringes on your copyright. What you did is literally illegal. Your channel should be terminated
Replying to @blaine097
Abusing the system is a matter of perspective. You think it's abusing the system? I do not. And there's no factual thing you can show me and tell me that says that's legitimately abusing the system. That's your opinion. And you still can't tell me where I'm lying. You just say I am, and I'm not.

Still insane that this guy almost got murdered live on stream and Raja Jackson got a slap on the wrist for it
Syko Stu speaks out about the Raja Jackson incident for the first time โ€œI had to relearn how to walk, I had a severe traumatic brain injury. I was off work for an entire year. Itโ€™s still ongoing. I do things multiple times because I donโ€™t remember I did it. Rampage Jackson wanted me to call him. Then I saw him trashing me on all these podcasts.โ€ (via @Liveloveneno)

You said that YouTube sent you the video and you merely โ€œgave them the ok.โ€ No, you filled out tons of information and filed the false copyright strike yourself. You are such a frequent liar that youโ€™ve convinced yourself that youโ€™re telling the truth

AGAIN. I never said youtube "automatically files copyright strikes or removal requests" I have stated REPEATEDLY that they FLAG VIDEOS through there AUTO DETECTION SYSTEM of videos that are using your content. I never said strikes are added to channels automatically. Community notes and other people are PURPOSELY MISREPRESENTING WHAT I AM SAYING.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
YouTube auto-detects matches but owners must manually review and submit or approve claims/strikes.
