The whole point of hashtags was to act as an index to direct relevant traffic to your Tweet/IG post/whatever.
I have to wonder how effective they are now when someone writes a post, then slaps a totally irrelevant hashtag cloud at the end.

.@DHH Clearly I’m not understanding this. Are you saying RailsConf is excluding you because of politics (for which you would justifiably be upset), or are they telling you that you’d have to share the stage with other developers, so you’re going to take your ball and go home?
