Iran's IRGC Publishes 26-Page Open Letter To Directly to AMERICANS I read the entire letter. It is FAR more extensive than the excerpts circulating online. The IRGC DIRECTLY addresses American citizens, students, academics and journalists, laying out its view of the war, decades of U.S.-Iran hostility and what it believes Americans should do next. Key points: • IRAN CLAIMS VICTORY: The letter argues the U.S. and Israel failed to achieve their objectives despite vastly greater military spending. It points to Iran's control of the Strait of Hormuz, continued weapons production, national unity and damage inflicted on U.S. regional bases. • WHY IRAN DID NOT BREAK: The IRGC says Iran's strength ultimately comes not from missiles or drones, but from Quranic principles, national unity and religious leadership. It devotes several pages to Karbala and the Shia principle of resisting oppression regardless of the cost. • "DEATH TO AMERICA SLOGAN": The IRGC says the slogan targets America's ruling political establishment, NOT ordinary Americans. It argues that Iranians and Americans are both victims of the same political elite. • 73 YEARS OF HOSTILITY: The letter traces the conflict from the 1953 coup through the Shah, the Iran-Iraq War, sanctions, Flight 655, the killing of Qasem Soleimani, the 2025 war, the January 2026 unrest and the current war. • IRGC TERRORISM DESIGNATION: The Guards argue Washington designated the IRGC a terrorist organization because it repeatedly blocked U.S. attempts to weaken or overthrow the Islamic Republic. • NUCLEAR PROGRAM: The letter calls allegations that Iran is pursuing nuclear weapons one of Washington's biggest lies. It notes that U.S. officials have claimed for 25 YEARS that Iran was only "weeks or months" away from building a bomb, yet Iran still has no nuclear weapon. • ISRAEL: The IRGC argues U.S. support for Israel has damaged America's interests, reputation and finances, while American taxpayers continue funding Israeli military operations. • AMERICAN DECLINE: The letter blames foreign wars, military spending, national debt, deindustrialization and poor leadership for weakening the U.S. It contrasts this with China's continued advances while Washington spends enormous resources fighting wars abroad. • CLOSE THE BASES: The letter urges Americans to demand the closure of roughly 800 U.S. overseas military bases, bring American troops home, end aid to Israel and redirect that money toward science, advanced manufacturing and domestic prosperity. • CHANGE U.S. LEADERSHIP: Americans are urged to use their votes to remove politicians the letter describes as corrupt and dishonest. It specifically mocks politicians who think they can buy Americans' votes with a $5,000 payment. • THE WARNING: The IRGC warns that continuing the war could trigger broader political and economic backlash against U.S. interests around the world. • THE OFFER: Despite its attacks on the U.S. government, the letter tells Americans: "We can live together in peaceful coexistence." • THE ENDING: The final paragraphs invoke JESUS CHRIST and IMAM MAHDI, saying Iran awaits their return to establish justice and hopes Americans will ultimately stand alongside Iranians. The central message across all 26 pages is a clear distinction between the AMERICAN GOVERNMENT and the AMERICAN PEOPLE. The IRGC portrays the conflict as the result of decades of U.S. policy while telling Americans that a completely different relationship with Iran remains possible.

The Trump administration is escalating its war on our First Amendment right to dissent. The State Department is making blacklists of Americans, and smearing everyone from Black Lives Matters protestors to our labor unions and the co-founder of Ben & Jerry's as foreign agents. It's pathetic and it's dangerous. We must all reject this attempt to revive McCarthyism and COINTELPRO to crush our resistance to fascism. From the unjust sentences of the Prairieland protestors to the attempt to extradite Fergie Chambers, we must fight back against these attempts to destroy our right to protest and organize. the-independent.com/news/wor…

Magically found $768,000,000,000 for a defense budget, but the same folks can't fully fund the $45- $60 billion needed to remove lead service lines in our country.

No one took you seriously because you founded “Ladies for Kavanaugh”, a group solely dedicated to fighting against and shaming the accusers of Brett Kavanaugh during his SCOTUS confirmation.
I actually understand why Democrat leaders didn't take our stories seriously when the Times reported them in June but are taking them seriously now. It was by design. The line most shared from the piece was the claim that the Times “could not corroborate” my story despite talking to two of my friends. I gave them the contact information for five friends. They called the two who I clarified would not know about the abuse but would be able to affirm our relationship timeline, events, etc. They simply did not call the other three. I also gave them the names of all my former roommates who remembered him stalking our row house (which was about 5 houses down from his) and waiting for me to return. I gave them screenshots of messages between these roommates and I discussing it. I gave them the names of other men I dated who might have remembered him following us around the hill and showing up on my stoop after we walked home from dates to confront us. I gave them emails to my landlord urgently ending my lease and moving to an apartment across town and diary entries talking about it - all time marked. I told them that during pre-marital counseling I had spoken to my ex-fiance about the abuse because I had to explain to him why I reacted with such terror any time he lost his temper. They said oh NO we don't need to bother HIM (or my priest). Besides, I had written about it in my diary in detail, they reassured. As the weeks dragged on I stopped trying to give them evidence because the amount I had already given them seemed to overwhelm them and I thought it meant they clearly had more than enough to verify my every claim. My friends might not have known the details of the abuse, but they affirmed that yes, I had told them that he was abusive—long before he ran for Senate. Besides, they assured, my part in their reporting would be small. I thought my details would only serve to affirm Jenny and the other anonymous woman. Jenny and I - having never met or spoken - both shared with these reporters terrifyingly similar details of intimate partner violence, coercive control, and cycles of abuse/love bombing. The third unnamed woman in the story did as well. But tell me again how they “could not corroborate.”

Did you know that if you were a British journalist in 1945, and tried to interview a holocaust survivor, you could have faced 14 years in prison for the crime of interviewing a genocide survivor? Just kidding, that's the policy today for the genocide survivors of Gaza.

You won’t find a better explanation for why China is rising & the US is declining: “In America, you can change parties but you can’t change policies. Billionaires control all policy. In China capital doesn’t have enshrined rights. In America, capital has risen above the nation.”

They made it legally explicit
A Delaware state judge just ruled that corporations can vote in local elections. Over 200 "artificial entities" (LLCs, trusts, corporations) are now registered voters in Fenwick Island. That's 12% of the electorate. Delaware has more corporations chartered in the state than people who live there. If you think Citizens United was bad, meet its logical conclusion. Corporations aren't people. They don't have kids in local schools, they don't drink the water, they can’t be jailed for crimes, and they shouldn't get a vote. (Photo: Cape Gazette)

Journalist Rania Khalek completely dismantles Piers Morgan. She brilliantly compares asking people to condemn the resistance against a supremacist settler colony to asking Jews in the 1940s to condemn resistance against Nazi Germany. Absolute masterclass in intellectual honesty.

Who runs Cuba is not my business or your business. But if my tax dollars are spent to block a NICU from getting fuel, then that is my problem and it should be yours too. Do you know how expensive it is for us to enforce this blockade? We need that money here, and those babies need the power to stay on. This is Erich, he’s 2 months old, and here’s the doctor explaining how they hand pump his ventilator when the power goes out

One of the most heartbreaking examples of nonverbal communication to emerge from Iran. I cannot call this a mere propaganda piece. It is the unbearable truth, laid bare through the profound art of cinematography and animation.
