Mike Johnson says the choice is between crazy and normal. I agree. Trump and the Republicans are the crazy ones for driving up our costs, cutting our healthcare and overseeing rampant corruption that’s costing us all.
WATCH: @SpeakerJohnson talks about midterm elections- he says the polls are wrong, because Republicans are not participating in the polls.

San Diego is not collateral damage. We are not expendable. And we are never a "small price to pay." Keep our city out of your reckless war talk.

San Diego is not expendable, and our people are not a punchline. No President should talk about American lives as “a small price to pay.” I will always stand up for San Diego and every person who calls this great city home. #ForAllofUs

This morning I announced a $1.45 million investment to support a project on Elliott Avenue that's bringing 25 new permanently affordable homes to the Russell neighborhood. Every person deserves a safe, quality, affordable place to live in a neighborhood they love, and as we surround these new homes with the parks, libraries, community centers, roads, and resources needed to build safe, strong, healthy neighborhood, that’s exactly what we’re creating on Elliott Avenue. Thank you to HPI, Russell: A Place of Promise, New Directions, the Louisville Affordable Housing Trust Fund, the Landbank, and all of our colleagues and partners working to make this project possible.

Today, we stood at our Safe Streets Belvedere site to celebrate a major milestone. Not once, but twice, this site has gone over 365 days without a homicide (379 to be exact). While one life is still one to many, 379 days without a homicide is a testament to what is possible when we put people closest to the pain in our communities at the heart of our solutions to public safety. This is progress BY Baltimore, FOR Baltimore. And together, we’re going to make 365 days without a homicide the NORM in every community and on every block.

It’s always an honor to share Kansas City’s success in housing; our City’s climate leadership, and our ongoing growth and development before audiences across America and the world. Spent time earlier this week with my friend Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego and @kcchamber . More ahead!

Twenty-five years later, Kansas City remembers the lives lost on September 11, 2001, the families who carry that loss still, and the first responders and everyday Americans who stepped forward in a moment of unimaginable tragedy. Today, we honor their memory, their courage, and their service.

25 years after September 11, 2001, we are still learning what the words “Never Forget” ask of us. For millions of Americans, September 11 is a memory. For a growing generation, it is history. Now, remembering requires focus and intention. To never forget means remembering those we lost. Remembering the courage of the first responders. Listening to the stories of those who were there. And, remembering what happened next. People came together. They gave blood. They offered shelter. They looked after neighbors and strangers alike. In one of our nation's times of greatest need, our common humanity proved stronger than our differences. Never forget. Not simply as words we say, but as a promise we keep in how we serve one another, how we care for one another, and how we remember, together. Every day.
