We love each month when we get a new Mayor’s Book Club book read by members of our community. Yesterday, officers from the NNPD @NewportNewsPD came to read “Wonderful Worms” to our students! #NNPSProud #prekrocks

Since we’ve been learning about balls this unit, we got a special visit from RipTide, the mascot from the Norfolk Tides Baseball team. They read us stories about baseball! We loved how silly RipTide was. Thanks for visiting! Tides Baseball

We loved celebrating Read Across America Week with students and staff wearing their favorite hats and dressing in their Dr. Seuss wear! #NNPSProud #prekrocks

Some of the NNPD brought their gymnastics skills with them this morning to our Mayor’s Book Club. While some were reading to classes, others were having fun outside with our students! “Can you do a cartwheel?” - challenge accepted! #NNPSProud #prekrocks

Students in room 35 are loving collecting loose change and donating it to our United Way Campaign. Did you know you still have time to collect and donate , too?? Send it to school in a ziplock baggie in your child’s name tag and we will get it to our donation box!

How perfect is this activity Ms. Pearson and her class completed? Students combined learning about their new recycle unit with collecting money for our United Way campaign. They created piggy banks to collect coins for the campaign. #NNPSProud #prekrocks
