Suki Waterhouse — The Loveland Tour 💘
@sukiwaterhouse
Suki Waterhouse brought The Loveland Tour to Salt Lake City’s Gallivan Center on July 27, turning the stage into a surreal world of mirrored hearts, roses, arrows and saturated pink light.
The night moved through a 20-song set, from “Supersad” and “OMG” to “Good Looking,” “Loveland,” and a closing encore of “Model, Actress, Whatever” and “To Love.”
One of those shows that was just ridiculously fun to photograph.

There’s something about summer shows outdoors — the light, the crowd, the energy as the night settles in.
A few of my favorite moments photographing Charlotte Lawrence at the Twilight Concert Series.

Some concerts are performances.
Others feel more like theater.
One of the things I love about concert photography is capturing the moments people don’t expect—the ones that make you stop for a second and wonder what happened next.
This was one of those moments.

Some photographs remind me exactly why I love what I do.
Not because of who’s on stage, but because for one brief moment, everything else disappears except the music.
This was one of those moments.

There’s a difference between photographing a concert and photographing a moment.
Most of the night you’re anticipating—not reacting. You’re watching the lights, reading the performers, waiting for everything to line up for a split second.
Sometimes it does.
This frame from Tom Petty’s 40th Anniversary Tour is still one of those moments for me.
What’s a concert you’ll never forget seeing live?
