Design Collective celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month in both of our offices by enjoying food from local businesses as well as homemade dishes. Over traditional Latin food and drink, our team came together to celebrate the contributions the culture has had on our nation's history!

Design Collective accepted the AIA Maryland Design Excellence Award for Arrowwood (Mixed-Use Development) & College Park City Hall (Institutional Architecture. College Park City Hall was also awarded the “Public Building of the Year” award! Congratulations to both teams.

This month we are celebrating & learning about the LGBTQ+ community, locally and nationally. We were intrigued by the research of the University of Maryland School of Architecture, Planning & Preservation’s Toolkit for Documenting LGBTQ Heritage in Baltimore City (and Beyond).

In observation of Juneteenth, as well as Pride Month, Design Collective hosted a lunch and conversation to share presentations, insight and ideas on ways we can observe, learn and act on these events. The quote below was one of the most impactful messages we heard. #Juneteenth
