What is spirit?
According to Dr. Bokin Kim, the Won Buddhist tradition defines it as a state of serene clarity, devoid of discriminatory tendencies and attachments.
But to really know the spirit, we must know the mind. The mind possesses two primary functions: discrimination and attachment.
The spirit, although free from these functions, is not a completely separate entity from the mind. Rather, they interact on a spectrum.
