My neighbor called the cops on my 9-year-old son for playing basketball at 7 PM in our own driveway.
We've lived in this house 3 years. $1,500 rent. Driveway with basketball hoop. My son plays every day after school, 6 PM to 7:30 PM. He wants to be like LeBron. He is 9.
Last week, new neighbor moved in next door. Works from home. First day, he knocked and said, "Your son's basketball bouncing is loud, can he play earlier?"
I said, "He plays after school, 6 to 7:30, that's his only free time."
Neighbor said, "I have meetings until 8 PM, bouncing ball disturbs my work."
Yesterday at 7:05 PM, my son was playing. Cops came. Neighbor called them. Said noise complaint, bouncing basketball at 7 PM disturbs work from home.

I saw a simple water-collecting idea at my neighbor’s today. I snapped a photo when she put a large plastic bottle on its side on the sink’s edge. Water from the faucet went into the bottle and out the opening into a bucket.
It is easier than using a ladle and spills less.
Is the bottle stable? Will strong water make it overflow? Any tips?
