Emma Landriault (@emmalandriault1), Global Head of Kinexys Labs and JPM Coin at Kinexys by @jpmorgan, will join us at the Ethereum Institutional Forum in London on 12 November. Her session, Moving Money Onchain: Liquidity, Cash and Deposit Tokens, covers how J.P. Morgan is using blockchain infrastructure for money movement and what clients need from onchain cash. JPM Coin, J.P. Morgan’s USD deposit token, went live on Ethereum mainnet last week. Attendance is by invitation and application only: forum.ethereuminstitutional.…

So real
In Web3 Security, Solidity code is becoming more and more perfect - EVM devs truly are maturing with the technology Security researchers are finding a lot more vulnerabilities in Rust smart contracts, infra (L1/L2) or off-chain (front & back end) code right now - focus there🫡

I was able to save a protocol $9.8m at risk. - all exploit details, full e2e, & acknowledged by team. An unprivileged attack that’d cost an attacker just $1-5 causing loss of +114btc and an halt. - Reach out if you want a review on your codebase 🫡 gist.github.com/blessingbloc…

Learn Web3 for FREE: Last week we deployed a smart contract to Robinhood Chain in 10 minutes. Today we turn it into an app: a web page that reads the contract, lets you hit gm() from your browser, and updates the count live, powered by @Alchemy. Missed part 1? Start here: 🧵↓
🤝 Paid partnership
Robinhood Chain is the #1 chain on @Alchemy's rankings right now: 3.3T usage units last week, ahead of Ethereum (2.2T) and Base (2.1T). It launched 100 days ago. Here's what's actually running on it and how to deploy your own contract there in 10 minutes. Open This 🧵↓

Remember when a simple transfer cost tens of dollars in 2021? Cheap fees are what finally make Ethereum usable for everyday payments, not just for people moving big money.
$ETH gas fees are now as low as $0.002 Ethereum is practically free to use right now

Glamsterdam testnet delayed. @chain_security found the new gas rules could change how existing contracts handle failed calls, so devs paused Hoodi to review it first. no new date yet

Let me be completely raw & honest with you beni, nothing in life comes easy. Winning a hackathon isn’t just about being good at shipping a build. It’s about playing the game smart too. If you haven’t won in months, I highly recommend doing this: 1. Pick teams that actually care about builders. Don’t just build alone in your room. Talk to their developer team. Find bugs in their tools & tell them. Show them your project before the deadline & ask for feedback. Most judges rush through demos, but if someone on their team likes your work, they will fight for you in the judging room.( This worked 99% times for me 3 different ecosystems ). 2. Use THEIR toolings, not random ones. Judges want to see you use their tech in action. Did you use their wallet? Their code? Their endpoints or toolings? If you enter an OKX hackathon using tools built for Solana chain, you are wasting your own time. Give them exactly what they want to see. 3. Check out other submissions before submitting. Search the timeline to see what others made. Pick the top 3 or 4 projects from returning hackaton winners most especially, ask yourself & your coding agent: Is their project better than mine? If yes, don't give up, stay up a few more hours & add a cooler feature that beats them. If your project is clearly better than the top 5 builders on your list, you have a huge chance at winning a prize. 4. Don't quit if you lose. Don't delete your repos but double down and keep building in public. A great example is what @kenn_ronin did with Muse Mirror. When ecosystem teams see you never quit & keep improving, they will start paying attention to you. 5. Hackathons are just the start. Hackathons are only for quick money to get you started as a founder. Build something real people actually use, even if it’s just 10 to 50 users. Save the prize money you win, focus on your one best app & attend real-life crypto events to meet people. Even getting a small $50k grant can completely Kickstart your motion or change your life. I know it can be tough sometimes, having no money, staying up all night & feeling like giving up. But nobody who had won from the past or winning now is smarter or more special than you. Keep your head down & fight.
It feels like an all time low in sentiment for hackathon builders. Alot of builders have gone months without a win despite putting alot of efforts and spending alot on AI credits What could be a possible solution to help these builders keep building especially when there is lack of funding?

This is a smart contract on Bitcoin. More precisely it is a public Taproot transaction carrying a Tacit envelope that records the seeding of a standard xyk curve AMM pair and a 0.30% LP fee. (i.e., uniswapv2-style pool) The pair tokens are bridged ETH (tETH), and TAC - a fixed supply token etched by the rules of the Tacit V1 confidential token metaprotocol on Bitcoin. Unlike other indexer-tracked tokens on Bitcoin, such as ordinals and runes, etc., TAC and tETH on Bitcoin have confidential amounts, shielded pools, and their transactions are reflected and validated by an immutable smart contract on Ethereum, the Tacit Confidential Pool V1. Anyone can issue similar assets on either chain, too, using the bridge factory, but they work as if they are on both. This means that Ethereum can provide programmatic guarantees to Bitcoin assets and also receive them, too. Without any new hardforks for either blockchain. And Bitcoin users can rely on Ethereum to catch lying indexers as those assets won't bridge, completing the loop. Since these assets are UTXO notes, they are relatively cheap to process, privacy preserving, and they also share the same state across both Bitcoin and Ethereum. This means Bob can send a tacit token from Bitcoin to Ethereum, in some cases, in minutes. This is what I mean when I talk about confidential crosschain DeFi on @tacitfi.

The best skill in Web3 dev isn't Solidity. It's problem solving. Syntax takes weeks to learn. Knowing how to break a bug down, test your assumptions and find the real cause is what keeps code safe. Languages change. This doesn't.

News: JPM Coin (JPMD), @jpmorgan's USD deposit token, is now live on @ethereum. JPMD extends from Base to Ethereum L1, giving institutional clients native onchain cash that sits alongside the assets, collateral and counterparties they transact with already. J.P. Morgan has now added a cash leg to the products it already live on Ethereum mainnet, with tokenized money market funds MONY and JLTXX both already on the network. Ethereum is the home of onchain finance.

Submitted a vuln to a major protocol through its self hosted bounty program. Two weeks later: no response. Checked the PRs and found it was fixed less than 24 hours after I submitted. Reached out for an update. Still nothing. Bug bounty will test your mental health fr
