I'd be willing to bet more people get their political news from @journalsentinel in Wisconsin than any other source. This is ... baffling.

As President Donald Trump attempts to ban news outlets from the White House, Republican candidate for Wisconsin governor, U.S. Rep. @TomTiffanyWI, is not allowing the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel into an event today. This follows Tiffany's clash with a reporter last week
Last week I was told by Tiffany's team that I wouldn't be let into events if I wasn't a fair reporter. Earlier this week, Tiffany said all reporters would be let into his events, even me, when he was asked about Trump's ban on TV stations. Now they're blocking my colleague.

.@MSpicuzzaMJS welcomed me into the press room when I was a newbie in the Capitol a dozen years ago. She's a fair reporter and a good person who takes her job seriously, and that's true of our whole team.
Liberal activist @MSpicuzzaMJS was notified yesterday that she would not be permitted to attend. MJS has a photographer at the event, and we welcome all balanced journalists across Wisconsin, including @jessieopie. That’s why WISN, CBS 58, and other outlets are in attendance.

Last week, @AP inexplicably laid off @godovasquez. Today, in yet another reminder of how shortsighted that decision was, he won the prestigious @deadlineclub award for Best Sports Photo of this amazing shot!

1/3 Today, 40 Associated Press guild-covered employees across the U.S. who accepted buyouts left the newsroom for the final time. We’ve been told layoffs will be coming, with no clear timeline. In solidarity, our members in office, at home, and in the field wore their union red today.

AP journalists in the U.S. are on the frontlines providing essential news coverage and documenting history each and every day. AP was there because WE were there. But more than 120 AP guild covered employees across the country were offered buyouts on April 6, and layoffs could be coming. And that makes the guild wonder, will AP be there for you in the future? We need your help. Tell AP leadership to support the stories that matter and the people that cover them. Comment on stories you care about on apnews.com and on AP social media posts. 1/3 “News doesn’t reveal itself from a distance. It has to be witnessed.” AP Executive Editor Julie Pace affirmed the importance of “being on the ground” and “eyewitness journalism,” at this year’s Overseas Press Club Awards, all while AP guts its news staff by offering buyouts to more than 120 U.S. guild covered employees across multiple formats. How can AP be on the ground without us? Who will witness the news?

I think the point at which you realize your source telling you "that's a great question" isn't a compliment to you and is instead just them buffering is the point at which you've become a real journalist.
