Carrick's here I expect until the end of next weekend at the very least imo. If he can make things work I'll be delighted but what can he do? He made big changes on Sunday and that "team" couldn't kick a ball and spend 40 minutes without taking a shot Not all on the players though (although they were apaulling) - he has to change how passive we are set up and stop being worried about conceding, we're doing it anyway Get at Chelsea who's defence are error prone and try and get some goals on the break and through high pressing

Bruno Fernandes played through an injury this season, rocked up against Spurs and an FA Cup SF after being in a leg brace the day before Rashford played through a back and shoulder injury in 2020 and 2021 and only just got treatment for a hip injury he played through this season The United Stand has made one of our more level headed former players into a toxic liar Well done everyone
🔥 Wayne Rooney TEARS into Manchester United players: “NOT FIT TO WEAR THE SHIRT!” This is as critical as I’ve ever seen Rooney about his former club. He’s raging, and rightly so. Michael Carrick is a Manchester United legend and a close friend of Rooney’s, so this one clearly hits a little harder than usual. On Stick to United with @markgoldbridge, he went straight for the players who love the spotlight when things are good but disappear the second it gets tough, like Bruno, Martinez, Rashford and the rest: “Where’s Rashford now? Things get tough, where’s Rashford? You need to play through the pain barrier. You need to be ready, to give everything for the club, and they’re not doing that.” He didn’t stop there. After that abysmal performance against Bournemouth, Rooney said he was pleased when the fans stopped clapping Carrick off and turned their fury on the players: “I was really pleased when they switched from clapping Michael off the pitch, and then they’ve turned on them players. They’re not fit to wear that shirt at the minute. I don’t think they ever will be. The least you can do is work and show that it means something and that you care.” Rooney said the five-year-olds he coaches understand something these multi-millionaires don’t: You run. You chase. You fight for every ball. This squad can’t even manage the basics! Rooney finished by expressing frustration that the same players are doing it again to another manager, and will almost certainly get away with it: “Honestly, watching it’s just so annoying and frustrating and disappointing that these players are gonna get away with it again.” Ruthless from Rooney. He is speaking for the fans here. They know Carrick hasn’t been good enough, but he’s a club legend who cares deeply about Manchester United and is giving his all. The players have given up. They don’t even run, and that is unforgivable! The fans will back you no matter what if you give your best, but they will never accept what these players are doing. Right now these players are a disgrace to the shirt, to the badge, and to everything Manchester United is supposed to stand for.

More support in the stadium for Carrick than there was for Ole is absolutely fucking insane to me. It’s been nagging at me for some time now and it’s so bizarre. On every count, Ole did better for us than Carras and yet he was roundly booed off whilst Carrick was cheered? Why?
Michael Carrick will doubtless pay the price with his job for this deserved defeat to an excellent Bournemouth side and another lifeless display by his Manchester United team. Some of his selections and tactics have been questionable, United were again so open in the centre. But Carrick was not responsible for recruiting Youri Tielemans, who lacks physicality and mobility (and Aston Villa haven’t missed him) and Andrey Santos, a Chelsea reserve.  Carrick was not responsible for the board’s damaging failure to strengthen at centre-back and left-back. Carrick was not responsible for his main striker Benjamin Sesko being injured and the board’s failure to provide him with cover. Carrick was not responsible for the club he loves being in the grip of co-owners like the Glazers whose priorities are focused more on business than the sport. The direction from the top has been negligible, arguably negligent. No real leadership. No expertise. Carrick may be out of his depth but many United fans sang his name during the painful demise to Bournemouth because they know he cares and they know the problems lie elsewhere. The Stretford End again sang in protest at the wretched Glazers. Noticeable that there were few songs in support of Bruno Fernandes. He is supposed to be captain, rallying the players, Footballer of the Year, Player of the Year, not arm-waver of the year, underachieving and complaining. Yet Bruno will be at United longer than Carrick.  Carrick was praised for United finishing third last season and getting in the Champions League. But he will doubtless go partly for his own failings and mainly the failings of others. And United will be trapped in this doom loop again. And again until the core problems are addressed in the boardroom - and the Glazers sell up - and flaws in the recruitment department. #MUFC #MUNBOU

People hate Bruno so much that they've completely lost the ability to judge his football. Imagine KDB or Odegaard breaking a 23yo record, being voted the best player in the toughest league itw and still finishing below Ferran Torres in the Ballon d'Or rankings. This is robbery.
🚨 OFFICIAL: Bruno Fernandes, 27th at 2026 Ballon d’Or.

One of the worst accounts ever
Do not be surprised by that post Bruno Fernandes liked. This is his real behaviour. The real him. Entitled & the gas he got from our fans has gotten to his head. He thinks he’s untouchable. And people call HIM a legend? Lol. The sooner the club gets rid of him the better.

He single-handedly dragged us to the CL, has been the best creative player in the world by some distances, dominated the FA cup final vs City and literally broke the PL assist record while playing for THIS United side where he spent half the season as a CM. You fucking clown

Do you know how EVIL you have to be for the Glazers to say, stop saving money 😭😭😭😭😭
Sources have told ESPN that the handling of the job cuts did not sit well with the Glazers, particularly Joel and Avram. One source said Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s implementation of the programme jarred with Joel’s "sense of decency and old-fashioned values." [@MarkOgden_]

What the fallout of the last few weeks has shown is who actually wants the team to succeed and wants the players to do well and who wants to point score and prove their dumbass opinions to be right Some will never be happy and some "United fans" love that we're failing

"Rashford has caused upset with the attackers that's why Cunha is sulking and Mbeumo has a trampoline touch" "Mainoo can't run which means Tielemans gets dispossessed all the time" "Bruno's not playing well bc he misses Amorim guys, we should never have sacked him" Come on

I genuinely don't understand how anyone can question Bruno Fernandes' commitment to Manchester United after everything he's done for this club. I love Bruno, so obviously I'm going to defend him, but this isn't even about being a fan. What more do people expect from the guy? When INEOS decided they weren't taking the wider staff to the FA Cup final because they wanted to cut costs, Bruno offered to pay for their tickets and hospitality himself. Just think about that for a minute. A club as big as Manchester United couldn't be bothered to pay for its own staff, and the captain had to step in with his own money. And this is the same guy who constantly gives his teammates credit in interviews instead of making everything about himself. Yet somehow, he's still the one whose loyalty people want to question. He could have left in 2024. He could have left in 2025. He's had opportunities to leave in 2026 as well. Saudi clubs were reportedly offering him an absurd amount of money, and nobody would have blamed him if he'd decided he'd had enough. He's still playing at an elite level. He could have gone somewhere else, won trophies and stopped wasting his best years trying to drag United back to where we belong. But he stayed. He stayed because he wanted to win with Manchester United. And honestly, I don't know how much clearer he can make his intentions. This club has given him plenty of reasons to walk away, but somehow people still expect him to keep proving that he wants to be here. What really pisses me off is that the moment he starts questioning the people running the club, suddenly he's the problem. Why? Because he's finally saying what so many of us have been saying for years? We've wasted ridiculous amounts of money on players who haven't worked out, changed managers, changed plans and started rebuilding all over again, and we're somehow still having the same conversations about investment and ambition. At what point do the people making these decisions actually take responsibility? Every time things go wrong, there's another excuse, another promise and another fresh start. Meanwhile, Bruno is still out there trying to make something happen on the pitch. And we're supposed to be angry with him for having had enough of the nonsense? And don't even get me started on the Rooney, Scholes and Giggs comparisons. They stayed because we were competing for the biggest trophies every single season. We were winning leagues, challenging for the Champions League and giving our best players every reason to stay. Bruno hasn't had that. He's spent years at a club that keeps finding new ways to shoot itself in the foot. Do people genuinely think Rooney, Scholes or Giggs would look at United today and see the same club they played for? Or that a top player joining us now wouldn't start questioning his future after a couple of years of this? We've fallen so far behind that we're now arguing about whether our own captain is loyal enough, instead of asking why the club keeps failing him. Look, Bruno isn't perfect. He has bad games, he gets frustrated and he can lose his head sometimes. I'm not going to pretend otherwise just because I'm a fan. But I'll defend him every single time someone tries to make him the villain for wanting this club to be better. He's turned down opportunities to leave, continued to give everything on the pitch and stuck around when he could quite easily have walked away. What have the people running this club done to deserve that loyalty from him? Bruno has done his bit. He's done more than his bit, actually. I'm tired of watching people question his commitment while giving the people responsible for this mess yet another chance to get away with it. If Bruno Fernandes has to keep proving he loves Manchester United, what the hell are the people running Manchester United doing to prove they deserve him?

But when they were on the team everyone was happy to get all their tweets and podcasts and YouTube videos off blaming them for everything wrong and I didn’t see any complaints ?
Rashford and Bruno stans on my TL point scoring like the team wasn’t terrible with them as well 🐶💔

Smart "respectable" journalist. Made it all about the Glazers. There is another elephant in the room even if not as big. But since it's not Rashford, Andy isn't bothered.

What I will say about Carrick is the way he managed this game especially the subs was that he’d rather lose the game than not have his point go across and things done his way This is what we criticised Amorim for massively and something that shouldn’t continue He’s done really
Other than Shea Lacey not a single player has performed well Regardless of tactics, setup etc poor first touches, poor passing, awful energy, horrible defending, tragic decision making None of them have been good enough at all I blame Carrick for a lot of things but not this
