Crimes like murder have been down drastically …and I’m seeing a lot of older niggas get picked up and it just looks eerily similar to Chicago in the 70’s when they snatched up all the older niggas that we’re keeping shit relativity quiet on the street

Sammy Gravano let the mob kill his wife's brother. Only an arm was found. He first killed at 25. In the end, he admitted to killing 19 people. Then the FBI secretly bugged his boss, John Gotti, America's most powerful mobster. On the tapes, Gotti was pinning it all on Sammy.
Testifying against his own boss, Sammy sent Gotti away for life. Gotti died in prison. Sammy got 5 years and bragged he kept $4 million. Today he's 81 and free.
He grew up in Brooklyn, the youngest kid of Sicilian immigrants. He had dyslexia, got held back twice, and the other kids picked on him. At 13 some boys stole his bike. Sammy beat them up, and a made man who saw it said the kid fought like a bull. The name stuck.
At 16 the schools gave up on him. In 1970, at 25, he took part in his first murder.
He moved up fast. Construction companies, union deals, a nightclub. By his own count, he was sending his boss more than $2 million a year.
Then came 1978. The family decided his wife's brother, Nicky Scibetta, was a problem. Sammy was furious and said he'd kill the boss, Paul Castellano, first. A friend talked him down. Sammy stepped aside. Nicky was cut to pieces.
Later he explained it in one line: "I chose against Nicky. I took an oath that Cosa Nostra came before everything."
Seven years later he helped kill Castellano anyway. December 1985, outside a Manhattan steakhouse. Sammy sat in a car with John Gotti and watched the boss die in the street. Gotti took over. Sammy became his No. 2.
What they didn't know was that the FBI had bugged an apartment above Gotti's club. In December 1990 both were arrested. In jail, Sammy heard the tapes. Gotti was complaining about Sammy's money. "Where did five new companies come from?" He talked about murders like they were Sammy's idea.
Eleven months later he called the FBI.
In 1992 he took the stand against Gotti. Gotti got life without parole and died in a prison hospital ten years later. The government says Sammy's help led to 37 convictions.
His deal: 5 years for 19 murders. He had already done 4. He spent 8 months in witness protection, walked out, moved to Arizona under a new name and opened a pool company. He later bragged the government let him keep $4 million.
The families of the dead sued him for $25 million over his book. They lost.
In 2000 he was arrested again, for an ecstasy ring. His son was arrested with him. So was his daughter. So was his ex-wife Debra, Nicky's sister. Sammy got almost 20 more years and walked out in 2017.
To the mob he's the biggest rat in history. To others he's the man who did what no prosecutor could.
Nineteen people are dead. For each one, Sammy did about three months.
Was Sammy Gravano a serial killer who beat the system, or the only man who could finally bring down John Gotti?
