Chadron St. made it 2 straight yesterday (10/24/26) afternoon, weathering a nearly 2 hour lightning delay to roll past NM Highlands 59-17 in Historic Las Vegas, NM. The Eagles scored TDs on 5 of their first 6 possessions, put up 28 points in the 2nd quarter, and took a 42-10 lead into halftime. After the storms rolled through early in the 3rd quarter, Chadron St. put the game away with 17 more points in the 4th. Devon Rivers led the way with 3 rushing TDs, as the Eagles piled up a season high 279 rushing yards utilizing 9 different players. Kelian Allen added the first TD of his career late in the 4th. Liam Blaser did it again, returning an INT 25 yards for a TD in the 2nd quarter for his 2nd straight game with a pick 6. The Eagles' defense forced 3 turnovers and held the Cowboys to just 1 for 10 on 3rd down. With the win, Chadron St. improves to 3-5 (2-4 RMAC), while NM Highlands falls to 3-5 (1-5 RMAC) with its 4th straight loss. Chadron St. returns home to Elliott Field next Saturday (10/31) to host Fort Lewis for Homecoming at 1:00 (MT), while NM Highlands hits the road to take on CO Mesa.
