Hello @TeamYoutube @YouTube ,
Earlier this week I received an email that my YouTube channel had been terminated for "a violation of circumvention policy." I am writing to respectfully request a manual review of the termination of my current YouTube channel.
This termination is connected to my previous channel which was terminated approximately three years ago. I believe the circumstances of that original termination are important. My previous channel was terminated for "Harmful or dangerous content." However, I can say confidently I never once posted any content that would break YouTube guidelines. The only content I ever posted on that channel was family-friendly gaming content. I had a content manager at the time and invited him to the channel as a channel manager. Shortly after, my channel was terminated. I believe that the manager being added to the channel somehow had something to do with the termination because I never posted or created any content that would break YouTube guidelines. I am currently appealing that original termination and asking YouTube to review the evidence of the account compromise.
After my original channel was terminated, I created a new channel. I genuinely did not realize that creating a new channel after a termination was itself prohibited or could result in a circumvention violation. I did not create the new channel with the intention of bypassing, avoiding, or evading YouTube’s enforcement, and I never intended to violate this policy.
For the past three years, I operated my new channel in good faith and grew it to over 200,000 subscribers and 300 million views. I have invested years into building this channel and its community and it has become my main source of income. I believe the only way this current channel termination can be reversed is if the termination on the original channel is fixed first.
I respectfully ask that you consider the circumstances of the original termination and review my current channel manually. If the original termination was caused by unauthorized activity, I hope the circumvention enforcement on my current channel can also be reconsidered.
I have all further information needed to look into this case, including channel URL's, channel ID's, channel names, termination dates, and emails sent from YouTube during the times of termination.
Thank you for taking the time to review this case, I am looking forward to hearing back!
