Timing tells in poker can be worth a fortune, and they're an entire dimension that exists within the game that most people are unaware of. Some will try to "balance their timings". Some won't even do that. But very few of those who aren't naturally musically gifted will ever try to peer beyond the veil and see what's out there. I got my first glimpse due to two people I know - Grindcore, who used to be a guitar player - had an amazing knack for timing. And my wife, also a natural musician - the same. I grilled them both with questions non-stop, and spent many days just watching tables I wasn't playing at, trying to guess who had what solely based on timing. The thing is... in modern poker so many of your decisions come down to "sometimes call sometimes fold". And timing breaks that paradigm wide open. Like many of these added layers of poker, it won't come into play extremely often, but when it does - the ev you can gain from it is huge. Tell me a big decision you made due to a timing tell.
