Such a great moment holding this in my hand for the first time. ☺️ Completely indebted to the people who helped me through the thesis journey. ☺️ #thesislife #socialwork #cep @epicireland

if we addressed the increased chance of lack of/cut off support for those ageing out of residential care compared to family foster care (e.g. being able to stay on and live with families after leaving care) res care would be a great option for many young people
When will people realise that RESIDENTIAL CARE is a POSITIVE OPTION for some of OUR children and young people? IT ISN'T A LAST RESORT OR OPTION but a POSITIVE ONE for some. #ECLCM #ECM @ResCareTo21 #CaringTeams #StayingPut eclcm.org

I’ve been away from this account and care experienced / care leaver stuff for the last few months now. Mostly because I needed a good break but two crazy things happened since then: 1. I finished my masters of social work with a 1.1 😭🎓 2. I MOVED TO VANCOUVER, CANADA YO 🇨🇦

I wish we would stop fetishizing forgiveness and pay a little more attention to the healing power of incandescent rage

this is why horror is the best genre, bad horror movies don’t suffer from the same pitfalls that other genres do and are still fun to watch as they come out wacky instead of scary as intended, but comedies etc for example are often awkward to watch if the intended tone is lost
a bad movie that’s entertaining is better than a good movie that’s boring
