Can someone please make some sense of this. Why is the smart money buying up a regional bank which is more likely to suffer from falling property prices and rising interest rates, then our major banks. Does the smart money ignore the current macro backdrop. Or is it just a choreographed rally🤔

History doesn’t always repeat, but we can learn from it. If something has happened in the past and the setup is similar now, you’d be a fool not to think it could happen again. $XEC is very oversold. Every time we’ve had an ABC correction move down, it’s bounced hard. The only big up moves come from big down moves. I see commodities bouncing soon, and $XEC should move towards channel resistance. 🚀 I mentioned a month ago that things were going to get worse, and they did. Many people think low stocks can’t go lower. No one cares about EV or valuations in a bad market. Selling creates more selling. Humans have been doing the same things in the markets for the last 150 years. Technical analysis was created around human emotions and actions. I see a nice bounce coming, and even if there’s more downside, we need to bounce first. For me, it’s about being calculated and smart with my buys. No dip-buying and waiting for the right times. Sometimes, no trade can be the best trade. I’ll wait for clear buy signals. $XEC $ASX #STOPGOINGDOWN

Model Book - $MTM - Metallium Limited This stock was a recent X fave, with people buying the Stage 4 decline (the back side of the chart) becasue they saw "value" after the stock went from 2c to $1.48 and dropped down to 50c. The psychology in the stock market amazes me. Please read a few books on it and save your hard-earned $$$, recommend Stan Weinstein. A 70x return in 2 years was offered. We don't need to enter at 2c. That would be idiotic to me, but look at the chart and see where you could have entered, managed risk and how many times you could have made 50-200% on your money with a risk of a few %. I can see 3 or 4 entries where the chart tightened up beautifully and offered amazing R:R. It's another textbook example of why we must trail significant amounts of our positions. It looked extended multiple times but kept moving higher, refusing to break the 10 or the 20DEMA.

This is so totally wrong on so many levels. Fair enough the middle class and poor do their share of hrs at work due to their commitments. The rich don’t get any more free time as they don’t just stop working, in fact most rich will continue to work longer hours by design and routine.
the rich and poor have free time. everyone else is at work

I think the best lesson here is learn to manage your own money on your own terms. Remember that there is NO ONE that will ever take better care of your money than you! Money managers, brokers etc and whatever work to their own agenda and definitely don’t have your interests as a priority. All IMHO

US futures opened green on what was being touted as black Monday all weekend. Markets are highly unlikely to crash when everyone has gone to cash. They are likely to crash when everyone is all in.
Remember all the sensationalism over the weekend about perpetual stock prices? Maybe the lesson some folks learned as futures open green is that those platforms have no actual connection with the market. They exist to allow people to get rugpulled during less liquid hours.

Everyone is expecting and prepared for a crash. Crashes happen when they’re unexpected. When leveraged positions force a cascade of selling. Once people are already hedged and defensive, that fuel is gone. The real risk is the move no one is positioned for. All IMHO.
BLACK MONDAY 😱📉 It would be a complete dishonour for a market technician not to share this technical setup. Monday marks the 39th anniversary of Black Monday October 19, 1987 when markets crashed an astonishing 22% in a single day. While modern circuit breakers protect us from a total free-fall, the structural overlay between 1987 and today’s 2026 setup is eerie. It would be something if Monday marks the beginning of something so beautiful, yet so consequential. For one's private perusal. Enjoy .

$WBT.ax The market likes today’s quarterly report. They remain a 2027-2030 proposition IMHO. Having said that the as it’s a high beta stock the chart clearly shows they are in a step downwards trend. Discloser held. This is just for information purposes and not financial advice…
