It's true, and bizarre. A whole bunch of straight men act substantively gayer than I do. Never seen anything like it. It's everywhere. My friends sometimes point to a guy and ask me, "Is he gay?" I can't tell anymore. Sissified straight men broke gaydar technology. -J

🚨 “DEAD MEN DON’T RAPE.” THIS IS HOW VIOLENCE AGAINST MEN GETS NORMALIZED. Women on TikTok and Instagram are recreating Aileen Wuornos’s photographs, lip-syncing to her courtroom outbursts about rape, and glorifying a convicted serial killer as a symbol of “female rage.” T-shirts featuring Wuornos are being sold on Etsy and other merchandise sites, turning a woman who killed seven men into a marketable symbol of empowerment. Some videos even invoke the “Cornell 7,” suggesting they deserve the same fate, accompanied by the chilling phrase “dead men don’t rape.” And the images I’m sharing here? They’re just a handful of examples. I’ve personally come across HUNDREDS of these videos on Instagram alone. What disturbs me most is how casually violence is being celebrated. We’re watching women turn a real-life serial killer into an internet aesthetic. Murder becomes a punchline. A courtroom outburst becomes a trending audio clip. Seven dead men become an inconvenient detail in a story about female empowerment. Those men were human beings. They had names, families, and lives. Their deaths are not props for social media content. And when people begin suggesting that men accused of sexual assault deserve to be murdered, we’re crossing an even more dangerous line. An accusation is not a conviction. Outrage is not evidence. And murder is not a substitute for due process. Imagine being an innocent man falsely accused of sexual assault and seeing thousands of people laughing, posing, and fantasizing about your death. Imagine being the mother, sister, daughter, or wife of a murder victim and watching the person responsible become an internet celebrity. This is what happens when hatred gets repackaged as empowerment. People become so consumed by their anger that they stop seeing victims as human beings. We cannot condemn violence against women while making excuses for violence against men. If we want a society that takes victims seriously, then our principles cannot change depending on the sex of the victim or the perpetrator. Hatred is not feminism. Murder is not empowerment. And celebrating a serial killer is not justice.

Friends, neutrals, enemies: Speak out. Say that you notice the complete abandonment of civility, road rules, customer service. *Please*. It's not just you. Don't be silent. We have to talk about this to fix it. We need to generate social pressure. You're not overreacting.

You've seen the ad where Amy Acton's mother called her daughter a liar. More than one thing can be true at once. Acton may be a liar and a whole lot more. Her mother may also have been abusive. -J

I know nothing about Amy Acton at all, nor do I know anything about her mother. When you see something this unusual, there is often a lot going on in the background that's unknown to viewers from the outside. What Amy says, or what her mother says, may or may not be true. Or there may be some truth to each position, or there may be much more we don't know. Whatever is the truth, I don't think we have enough information to know, just based on this ad.
BOMBSHELL: Ohio Democratic gubernatorial candidate Amy Acton’s own mother urges voters not to vote for her daughter. “My name is Donna Arthur and I’m Amy Acton’s mother. I worked at Children and Family Service Association, building one of the first two sexual abuse programs in America. I love my daughter, but when I saw her lying about her opponent—and it’s not easy for a mother to say this—but Amy has a serious problem. She is a liar. She lies about her past. She says she grew up living in a tent. None of that is true. She’s lied her entire life. My daughter needs help, and she can’t help you if she needs help herself. People can change, but first they have to tell the truth, and my daughter still isn’t doing that. Don’t vote for people who lie. Don’t let her become your governor. If you think she’ll make your life better, you’re fooling yourself. It will only get worse.” That’s one hell of an October surprise.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Acton's mother lost custody of her children after years of documented issues, including time spent living in a tent and a spouse who sexually abused her daughter Amy (Acton). Amy Acton's brother has also confirmed this story. x.com/amyactonoh/sta… wkbn.com/news/local-new… time.com/collections/co… vindyarchives.com/news/2019/aug/… 614now.com/2020/culture/c… actonforgovernor.com/meet-amy/

We can stop the bird hands epidemic. If all men started saying "cawww, cawww" every time they pull out the bird hands, or even the chicken sound, women would become aware of it and stop. They especially hate being pointed out like that.

1. Buy their products--they're great. Especially the meat. They're my show sponsor. 2. The "Mince Mate" (European Hamburger Helper) is fantastic, but add a buttload of salt.

People all around us are actual zombies, and we act like things are normal. People's behavior is NOT normal! Since "Covid," everyone "forgot" road rules. Every one of them. People walk into you in stores and keep going without a word. I almost just hit a woman on my country road jogging. She was on the incorrect side of the road (the right side, so she couldn't see me coming), AND she was looking at her phone AND she had earbuds in. This is every day. Every single day. All the time. It's making me angry and stressed, and my reaction is normal. None of this is normal. None of us remember Americans acting this way all the time before a few years ago. Why is this not a national conversation? The worst part is that millions of people know this, but they won't say it. And because they won't say it, it's "not real," and, therefore, will not be solved. I want to scream. I KNOW I'm not the only one who knows what normal is. -J

I don't know what to think of the many people who can see street riots, arson, the burning of historic buildings, and respond with "most of the place isn't like this. It was nice at the restaurant I was at." If even extreme violence on their street won't move them. . what? -J

If they had any sense--actually, if they had the WILL to protect these items--they would put the military to guard the building. But they don't. Why would we think they'd be motivated to remove the art? If they wanted to protect it, they would do so *in situ*. They would protect *the Louvre*.
Replying to @MuseeLouvre
If you had any sense, you would move every single piece of art out of the Louvre and out of the country. It’s not a “student social movement.” It’s a communist-Islam movement and they will burn the museum down the minute they get a chance.

There is no hope unless someone(s) in countries like this remove politicians like this from power. This response isn't surprising. I hope the hopeful will now accept that the problem is their politicians, and that they are NOT going to stop. You will have to stop them. I don't know how you do that. Also, I don't think it's going to happen.
NOW - Macron addresses the nation, calling for order and says that the youth of France are "expressing great anguish and concern about the future... we need to pay heed to what they are saying and we must not minimise the hardships that they are facing."
