Damning but unsurprising. It is imperative that we work together as an industry to fix this. All institutions are filled with those who will try to abuse power, but the safeguarding and reporting systems in many drama schools are clearly just not good enough.

Create a regulation body consisting of industry people giving them regulatory powers to protect ‘vulnerable’ adults in drama schools. Just like they do with schools and hospitals. The federations have no real ‘framework’ to maintain ‘minimum standards’ or to ensure accountability
