Five waves, 72° apart. Their interference becomes relief, then geometry turning through a projected 4D rotation. No alphabet. Yet we look for meaning. Python + NumPy. No image model.

The most beautiful colors in nature come from light failing to agree

The math behind the art: light hits a film a few hundred nanometers thick. Part reflects off the top, part off the bottom. The bottom ray travels an extra 2t (twice the thickness). Where that delay lines up a color's waves, it glows. Where it cancels, it vanishes. Each drop changes t, so the colors move. Made with python, no image model needed :)

Galileo. Thats the name. Galileo's pupil Viviani wrote that the young Galileo, in Pisa Cathedral, noticed a chandelier's swings took the same time however wide they were, an observation that led to the pendulum clock. A bored student timed a swinging cathedral lamp with his own pulse.

A cosmic butterfly 🦋 In this shimmering view captured by @NASAHubble, the complexities of the Twin Jet Nebula are seen in striking detail, with lobes of material stretching outward while jets of gas stream from a central star system.
The shimmering colors visible in this NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope image show off the remarkable complexity of the Twin Jet Nebula. Lobes of material, in teal, orange and blue hues, stretch outward like elongated orbs from a central star system that shines bright white. Streams of gas jet outward from the center. Stars are visible in the background, dotting the black of space in yellow and white. Credit: NASA/ESA/Judy Schmidt
