What he forgot to mention is that Morpho can charge fees at the market level, allowing it to capture the economic value created by curators without bearing the cost of risk management.
This means markets are neither neutral nor ownerless. Curators invest in building liquidity and managing risk, but Morpho retains the ability to extract a share of the revenue, compressing curator margins and accelerating competition toward zero profitability.
This creates a fundamental misalignment: either Morpho monetizes and competes for the economics generated by curators, or it doesn't and must sustain its business through other revenue sources once incentives run out.
Curators should own their market economics and capture fees from both lending and borrowing. Otherwise, they're building businesses on infrastructure that can tax away their margins. Full stop.
This is why Paul is spooked about Aave V4.
Two very unique aspects of @Morpho's market & vault curation design that we dont talk about much:
1. Own your vault. When you own a Morpho Vault, the business belongs to you, not Morpho. You decide how it operates and responsibilities are delegated. Morpho has no special admin rights to take over your vault or revoke your ownership.
2. Neutral markets aggregate liquidity. No party can own the underlying markets so even users or businesses with competing interests can share the same markets. If markets were owned, it would lead to competition between markets and cause liquidity fragmentation

Just yesterday everything looked so beautiful ) But seriously β nothing new once again, volatile out there. The last 2-3 weeks the market has been swinging insanely hard uuuup-dooown-uuuup-dooown.
I already wrote in these posts t.me/DoCryptoBred/2816 and t.me/DoCryptoBred/2811 what to do to βnot suffer too muchβ... at some point weβll obviously go 2 or even 3 times in a row dooown or uuup. $INFER $imdUSD Infer Protocol β a new financial layer for the agent economy $IMD
There have been some loud posts on CT about our agents finally making us money. I even reposted one.
ty, His Dudeness:
xitter.cf/cryptokarlheinz/statusβ¦
And yes, they are. Especially the agents that helped build a new protocol: imdUSD
xitter.cf/imdusd
imdusd.com/
But where does the money come from? Isnβt it just a stablecoin?
Let me break it down for you.
First, thereβs $imdUSD. It has two main use cases:
a) Payments within the agent economy. We need a more predictable unit of account since $IMD is volatile.
b) Borrowing against collateral. You believe in IMD long-term but need cash? Instead of selling part of your position, you can borrow imdUSD against your collateral. Of course, there are risks, including liquidation.
Then thereβs $INFER β the token tied to the economics of Infer Protocol itself.
You donβt need it to pay for jobs or borrow imdUSD. Its purpose is to benefit from the protocolβs economic activity.
According to brajon, the dev, fees flow into the Treasury, and protocol revenue is meant to support staking.
So the idea is:
People borrow β the protocol collects fees β revenue flows into the Treasury β the Treasury buys $INFER β the tokens are gradually distributed to stakers through sINFER.
See the Ponzi-like mechanic here? π
The real question is whether the protocol can generate sustainable revenue. Buybacks donβt happen by magic.
so the bullish case is simple:
imdUSD gets real usage β more loans, swaps and fees β more revenue for the Treasury β more $INFER buybacks β more INFER distributed to stakers.
The bearish case is even simpler:
Nobody really uses imdUSD β fees stay low β buybacks stay small β $INFER is left as just another ecosystem token with limited utility.

π¨π¨π¨ Chainlink CRE fees may be much higher than we initially estimated π¨π¨π¨
π We were assuming that there's only 1 orchestration fee in this DTCC transaction, but it looks like there's actually 4 separate orchestration fees, plus a CCIP fee too π
ππ‘ππ'π¬ π π¬ππ©ππ«πππ ππππ¬ π©ππ’π π’π§ ππππ π’π§ ππ‘π’π¬ π¨π§π ππ«ππ§π¬ππππ’π¨π§. π₯π₯π₯
The CRE orchestration fee isn't charged once per transaction. It's charged on every workflow step a user signs (see attached images - blurry because they're screenshots from the live demo).
In the DTCC demo at Sibos, every wallet signature shows "Orchestration fee 0.01 LINK":
13:30 Create financing contract
14:48 Deposit $10m tUSD
17:22 Request $5m loan against MSFT
29:44 Repay loan
That's 4 separate Orchestration fees, paid in LINK.
On top of that there's a separate CCIP fee (20:15) for bridging the collateral to the DTCC AppChain.
Repo + securities lending is $20T+ a day.
Even a tiny share, with multiple LINK fees per transaction, adds up fast.
The scaling is clear: more steps in a workflow means more fees.
$LINK
DTCC AND CHAINLINK AT SIBOS 2026
DTCC's Dan Doney and @SergeyNazarov presented how @The_DTCC is collaborating with Chainlink to advance 24/7 collateral management.
DTCC's Collateral AppChain provides shared infrastructure near real-time collateral management across financial markets and blockchains.
βThe problem being solved is the fragmentation of data, how everybody connects to move collateral and settle transactions, and the different systems that need to talk to each other but cannot do so quickly enough to allow intraday collateral movement.β - Sergey Nazarov
DTCCβs Collateral AppChain will leverage the Chainlink Runtime Environment (CRE) for orchestration between those systems and data sources, and CCIP which enables the movement of assets, value, and liquidity to and from the AppChain.
"You finally have a reliable and legally binding ledger from the DTCC that everyone can rely on, just like they rely on the DTCC now. That's a very powerful thing that I think the capital markets have been waiting for, where they can't get that from just any chain because those guarantees with the DTCC are fundamentally different" Nazarov also added.
The DTCC Collateral AppChain is expected to launch in Q1 2027.

Nothing to write β everything important was written many months ago.
The main ideas β how to "act" in situations like this and how to "survive" the drawdowns β were written back in the times of "falling", when it was genuinely hard.
Right now the challenge is to:
A. Be at the terminal 24/7, because in theory news can drop at any moment that will "work" / "push one asset or another hard".
B. As usual, avoid overtrading and wait β maybe just wait a month or two doing nothing, while reading every little piece of information.
C. Stick to the pre-built plan for rebalancing and diversification, turning a blind eye to temporary hype, the urge to invest "more" than needed, or euphoria.
Other than that β just "got lucky".

We've updated Strategy launches even further.
- Cost to deploy has been lowered from 1Ξ to 0.25Ξ
- The full 0.25Ξ is now used to buy the token for the deployer, resulting in about 1% of the final supply
- 24 hour delay between launches

4 tokens have deployed since we've turned on permissionless launching of Strategies: CREDITSTR, IMDSTR, ARGOSTR, BUDSTR
They cannot be vamped due to only having one token per collection. They cannot be sniped due to descending taxes.
The fairest way to launch a token.
To the participant "Vault 0xc0b0...237a" β could you please split your deposit into 2 or 3 parts from different wallets?
Because of you, I have to keep my cash balance above your "Vault Amount." The way Hyperliquid works: if you withdraw in one click and there isn't 100%+ free cash on the balance to cover your cashout, it automatically closes 25% of all positions β even if it's short by $5.
The system only closes a proportional share of positions after checking that the same amount exists on the free-float balance, and only then closes that share of positions without touching the free-float funds.
This benefits everyone.

A few thoughts out loud.
In less than a year, crypto exchanges have taken a few percent of the volume of the world's two largest oil benchmarks. Hyperliquid alone sometimes does hundreds of millions β and at times over a billion β in oil notional per day. A four-year-old venue is trading crude next to venues that are a hundred and fifty years old.
Yesterday CFTC Chairman Michael Selig told the U.S. Treasury Market Conference that the agency is preparing markets for "mass tokenization," onchain finance and 24/7 trading β and that crypto and precious metals may already be suitable for round-the-clock markets. The regulator is describing as the future exactly what Hyperliquid does today.
Third piece. Since Sept 17, NEAR has private perps on by default: deposits route through a private shard, so the link between a wallet and a position is no longer visible onchain β while execution happens on Hyperliquid's engine, in the shared book. And this week NEAR showed up on Hyperliquid spot itself β quietly, no exchange announcement, with the strict list in the UI still to catch up.
Zcash's run this season was explained by demand for privacy in the asset itself. But a private asset is only storage. Stacking the three facts above, here's what I keep thinking about: the next form of that same demand isn't a private coin β it's private access to the deepest onchain markets. Trading oil, equities and crypto on Hyperliquid's liquidity without leaving a trail that ties the position back to your wallet.
Because you always have to think about where the market goes next β where the hype will be. Anonymous, liquid trading in literally every global asset sounds like an interesting case.
What this market lacks right now is a narrative. In past cycles it was obvious what everyone was dancing around: what we were dreaming of reaching, what "they" were building. Most of those ideas were utopian and will never ship β that's not the point. The point is that they moved things.
Today it's far more prosaic: tokenization of assets, and that's it. Nobody is building metaverses, or social networks with honest value distribution, or a ride-hailing app with no counterparty, or encrypted cloud storage on a blockchain where your data doesn't belong to Google or Amazon.
Those ideas aren't here anymore. What's here is government bonds at a yield, and the hope that nobody skims another couple percent off you on the way. That's the whole narrative. In my opinion that's also why we're not growing fast: there's no global "wow."
Meanwhile the men in ties saw their own opportunity in crypto and are pushing tokenization forward on our behalf, in wide strides. And if we don't have an idea of our own, maybe it's worth looking at what they will want from this market next β especially against the backdrop of Zcash's rise, whose use case I think is obvious to everyone.
It's just bleak watching this market's lifeless eyes, where nobody has believed in anything or expected anything for a long time.
Every cycle has its steering ideas. It's time to name this one's.

I always get most excited about Aave App when user deposits come directly from bank accounts into Aave.

Iβm happy of what weβve built with the team so far, but weβre still in beta. Weβre focused on polishing every part of the experience and expanding our onramp capabilities globally.
I believe we have one chance to get this right, so weβre putting a lot of focus on the last mile. The small details matter when youβre building for mainstream users.
