56 years ago today, Pink Floyd's Atom Heart Mother was released in the UK, becoming the band's first number one album. The album's cover was famously hated by EMI, seemingly having nothing to do with the band or the music within, but the picture of Lulubelle III - taken nears Potters Bar. Storm Thorgerson said of the image: "I think the cow represents, in terms of the Pink Floyd, part of their humour, which I think is often underestimated or just unwritten about."

Many happy returns to Roger Waters, who celebrates his 83rd birthday today. One of the founding members of Pink Floyd, he left in late 1985 to pursue a successful solo career, including some spectacular live presentations such as the more than 200 date The Wall Live. Happy birthday, Roger!

I had the honor of meeting Ms. Morrello before Tom turned Rock upside down & inside out. Her pride in & love for her son was powerfully present at that time . She believed in him before his guitar blew everything up. Condolences to Tom and his family in this time of bereavement.

It’s been a real pleasure being back on the road with Randy. After all these years, it’s been wonderful sharing these songs again and seeing so many familiar faces in the audience.
Thanks for being part of this journey with us.
