I'm a fast-food worker and people who won't stop arguing against raising the minimum wage after calling us heroes during a global pandemic make me sick so I wrote about it all in @GENmag! gen.medium.com/im-a-fast-foo…

For Momentum at @Medium, I wrote about the conflicting feelings Black people can experience in museums.

Also APESHIT feels kind of hollow to me now.
"“APESHIT” feels less like Black people reclaimed the Louvre and more like wealthy White people lent their property to wealthy Black people who have exceptional proximity to that which Whiteness covets."

Thank you so much @JermaineHall for mentioning me in this week's Medium newsletter! It's an honor to be featured alongside such excellent writers! ✊🏾

.@Doctor_Whodunit works in the fast food industry.
He knows why people don't want essential workers to earn $15 an hour.
"The essential part of our work was only real to customers when their servants disappeared."

I love that @Doctor_Whodunit speaks his truth, and doesn't tie it up with a solution. Truth it, we're enduring way more than what's normal. level.medium.com/yes-im-a-bl…
For @levelmag, I wrote about what it's like to lose my ability to write about race during this global movement for Black people.

So much of history has been whitewashed for the sake of making it palatable for white consumption that we are starting to perpetuate things that are not only misconceptions, but outright lies.
A lot of what you're told about protests, MLK, etc. is wrong.
A thread.
Last month I wrote about my newfound love of cooking in Breath of the Wild. I'm a fast-food worker back in the kitchen after two months in quarantine, and reading this again feels really nice!
