Had a great time this afternoon at the USATF Indoor Track Meet in Kenosha - ran into a lot of old friends, and watched the Sullivan boys run big indoor PR’s!! – at Kenosha, WI
Learning lots at the annual Wisconsin Cross Country Coaches Association convention today and seeing longtime friends, like these two Hall Of Famers!
Had lots of fun this morning at the “Stuff The Sleigh” 5K race; had my fastest time (22:36) in 4-5 years - good for 5th place overall and first in my 60-64 AG.
But the real winners were event beneficiaries Toys for Tots and Racine Food Bank, both of which took in a huge haul!
“Coach brag” here - one of my protégés John Rapp, a 2019 Franklin HS grad, just had his first road race win this morning - the “Last Call” Half Marathon in Waukesha, at age 18 years + 3 months!
Congratulations, John!
Had a great “time” at the Borodash 4-mile Race in Tennessee this morning - 29:04 for 76th place overall of some 2400 entrants, and managed to nab 2nd-place of 40+ finishers in my 60-64 Age Group. Grateful for God’s Gift not only to run, but to live life to its fullest. HTD, all!
Happy Veterans Day to all who’ve Served, past or present, this great Country of ours - including my Dad (World War II, Italy) Wilbur, RIP.
Thank You!!
Franklin HS Cross Country giving back to the sport they love - water-stop volunteers at this morning’s Badgerland Striders Turkey Trot Prediction Run!
Couldn’t be more proud of junior Quinn Sullivan, who finished 129th of 190 Qualifiers in today’s State Cross Country Meet - way to represent Franklin HS CC, Quinn!
