Searching for doubles this morning. The children are using their memory to help them find the correct number.

We are really enjoying our learning all about fairytales.

Lots of fairy tale learning taking place in reception.

We had a busy fairy tale day yesterday. We made a Once upon a time …. banner, printed some castle walls and designed some castle bunting. We had an amazing day.

Don’t forget to dress up tomorrow as something from a Fairy Tale. Miss C is excited to wear her costume! 🧌🏰👸🏻

Today we are learning to count on using a number track. Some of us used a whiteboard to keep track of the calculations we were doing.

Yesterday we were using Tangrams to create pictures. The final challenge was to make a perfect square with the shapes. It really made us think.

This week we have been learning to solve problems. Using only a certain number of tiles we had to make them fit exactly. Then the challenge was to find how many ways they could fit.

It has been a chick holding kind of morning. Lots of washing hands afterwards of course.

Today we had a special visit from an author. He told us a very funny story about an umbrella tree! 🌂🌳

This morning we were learning to match complicated models. We really had to think about the position of each colour.

This afternoon we made a den for the chicks to stretch their wings.
