Yesterday I graduated with a PhD in Applied Mathematics from @KeeleMaths. It’s been a challenging but rewarding journey, and I’m deeply excited for the next stage in my career! @KeeleUniversity
Incredibly touched to have been nominated for a Keele SU Staff Award by my students @KeeleMaths for commitment to student support, creativity and approachability.

Keele applied mathematics had a strong presence at the 11th European Solid Mechanics Conference @ESMC2022, held in Galway, Ireland last week. Five of us presented talks with one of them being a keynote lecture. We were also involved in the organisation of two mini-symposia.

New research in IJSS with @fu_yibin on the surface tension induced localized bulging/necking of soft slender tubes. This phenomenon has been observed in many biological systems, e.g. in tunneling nanotubes connecting migrating cells @KeeleMaths.

Insane 👏👏👏
If someone had told you that you could make a valid sudoku by placing the first 22 digits of Pi, in order, symmetrically in a grid, would you have believed them?
Take a bow Philip Newman - you've discovered magic.
