Glory Days for the Waifs and Strays: Identity and Meaning in the Rise of the Modern Manchester City is out NOW via all the usual online outlets.
You can only buy signed copies at Deansgate Waterstones, though.
(no, that hasn't knocked a chunk off the price.)
@BitebackPub
This is wild. Surely the whole card jsut has to be pulled at this point?
🚨 NO FLIGHTS, NO INFORMATION FOR CANELO-MBILLI SAUDI CARD
👀 Robert Garcia: "I don't want to be in a documentary 25 years from now talking about all these brave fighters, coaches and managers that went [to Saudi Arabia] and never came back. My team, at least my team with Lindolfo Delgado, we've been waiting all weekend. We don't have no flights. We don't have no information. So honestly, I don't really know what's going to happen. ... Lindolfo and the rest of my team should've already known they're flying out in the next couple of days to be there at least 1 week before. We can't be sitting, waiting, and thinking, 'We're just waiting for that flight. They'll send it to us.' They should have already." (@boxingscene)
Glory Days For The Waifs and Strays is one year old.
A few things have happened since and I'm even more grateful than I was at the time that the verdict did not come out while it was at the printers 😂
It's been a genuine joy to hear people tell me they've enjoyed it 🩵
Anyway, even though there might be need for an added chapter (or even a whole new book!) in the post-verdict world, I still think most of the main themes about the disorientating uniqueness of being a City fan hold up pretty well 🍌

"I think a lot of fans are quite angry now"
@DomFarrell1986 took the temperature of UK-based NFL fans by hitting an NFL bar in Leeds on Sunday evening.
Also, Jaguars fatigue seems to be setting in overseas.

I’ll mitigate that it’s the 3rd of 5 home games in 17 days.
If you’re a casual attendee and you see AEK Athens (on TV) for £35 this week and Brighton for £15 next week which are you gonna attend?
They 1000% got the pricing strategy wrong.
Also see 40k for a walkover Champions League tie with close to zero jeopardy in this format 👍
Cheapest (non-ST) ticket for tonight being ~£35 is shite and the club should sort it. Most group stage games a few years ago were £20odd, wages in the country haven't improved and now we have an extra group stage fixture. They clearly don't care about stadium being full.
*neon banana
#ManCity's 2027/28 third kit will have a 'neon yellow' base colour.

Seeing people complaining that a relegation-guaranteeing points deduction wouldn't be harsh enough is mad. Folks have completely lost their heads. Relegation for a squad with City's wage bill and amortisation costs is absolutely catastrophic, amid probable ownership change.

The thing is. We will. And we’ll still be having more fun at games than you lot do
If City were on -100, all the teams playing them after that punishment would have huge advantage over those who played them betore because City would no longer have any incentive to win.
I really like Dubois, and his responses to setbacks to get to where he is now have been immense.
But you don't just get to keep rematching a dude 10 years older than you, who's beaten you twice, stopped you twice and barely lost a round until you beat him. Give over.
United largely decent there. Carrick's tactical changes worked. But some clown car set-piece defending and it's still one win in seven PL games, still in the crisis holding pattern.
