Russia and antisemitism:
If you hate Zionism, believe Israel is the new Nazi Germany, or think Zionists secretly control the world, you need to understand where some of these ideas came from.
Let me take you back to Moscow, 1983.
On March 29, 1983, the Soviet Communist Party approved a KGB proposal to establish the Soviet Anti-Zionist Committee.
Just one year earlier, Mahmoud Abbas, today’s Palestinian Authority President, had defended his doctoral thesis in Moscow, promoting Holocaust distortion and conspiracy theories about Zionist collaboration with the Nazis.
Both emerged from the same Soviet environment of anti-Zionist propaganda.
The committee’s mission was simple: demonize Zionism, discredit Israel, and spread the Kremlin’s narrative worldwide.
But the KGB had a clever strategy.
They deliberately placed Jews at the head of the organization to deflect accusations of antisemitism.
Led by Soviet Jewish General David Dragunsky and supervised by the KGB and Communist Party’s Propaganda Department, the committee became a propaganda machine.
Here is how it worked:
1. Compare Zionists to Nazis. Pravda accused Israel of using Nazi methods and operating concentration camps.
2. Manufacture Jewish opposition to Israel. Soviet media promoted supposed letters from Jewish emigrants claiming they had been deceived by Zionist propaganda.
3. Stage international press conferences. Committee leaders accused Israel of adopting Nazi practices, while TASS and Novosti amplified their accusations worldwide.
4. Export propaganda worldwide. The Soviet Union used international media, publications, foreign language broadcasts, and propaganda networks to spread its anti-Zionist narratives across Europe, the Middle East, and beyond, turning a Kremlin campaign into a global messaging operation.
5. Give propaganda academic credibility. In 1985, the committee published a 300-page White Book portraying Zionism as a global conspiracy and Israel as an instrument of American imperialism.
Meanwhile, the same Soviet regime restricted Jewish emigration and persecuted Jews who wanted to leave for Israel.
Think about that.
More than 40 years ago, the KGB was systematically manufacturing the accusations we hear against Israel today.
Zionism equals Nazism. Israel is an apartheid regime. Zionists manipulate governments. Even Jews supposedly reject Zionism.
Today, these narratives circulate across university campuses, demonstrations, social media, and mainstream political debates.
Perhaps one of the greatest successes of Soviet propaganda is that millions of people today believe they arrived at these ideas entirely on their own.
Before repeating the next accusation about Zionism, ask yourself one question: Who taught the world to think this way?

That the Communist hammer and sickle isn’t commonly regarded as evil and offensive as the Nazi swastika is a failure of education.
“Dear Italian students, who today take to the streets carrying flags with the hammer and sickle and wearing T-shirts emblazoned with ‘CCCP’,” began an open letter in Italian by Lithuanian expat Neringa Budryt.
“I would like to ask you a question: do you truly know what the symbols you carry represent? And do you know what would have happened to many of you had you openly demonstrated in countries living under the oppression of communist regimes?
Let me tell you something. It is easy to display a red flag when, for you, communism is merely an abstract idea of equality, social justice, and rebellion against the system. It is easy to wear a T-shirt with "CCCP" on it when you have never experienced the reality of a communist regime.
We come from that part of Europe where communism was not a T-shirt, a symbol of rebellion, or a romanticized notion of equality. It was the system in which we lived—a system we never chose.
We know the history of Soviet repression, Stalinist purges, the Gulags, and mass deportations. Above all, we know the word "Siberia"—a place to which thousands of innocent people were forcibly deported, simply for thinking differently.
In Siberia—amidst freezing cold, starvation, and forced labor—many lost their lives; those who survived carried the scars of that experience forever. Entire families were torn apart, and generations were denied the chance to live freely in their own homeland.
In the countries of the Soviet bloc, censorship, political police, surveillance, and the suppression of dissent drastically curtailed individual freedoms.
We grew up in a system where state control permeated even our daily lives. At school, we were required to wear the red necktie of the "Pioneers." We were monitored; they tracked where we went and even whether we attended church. Even faith—a choice that should belong to an individual’s own conscience—could become a cause for suspicion.
We used to celebrate Christmas with our windows blacked out, to ensure no one would see us and report us. Because it was forbidden—just like so many other things: jeans, rock music, and all the symbols of a Western lifestyle. My mother returned from a Soviet labor camp. And do you know what happened to her? She was barred from continuing her education because she had been labeled an enemy of communism.
Under a communist regime, you could not protest. You risked arrest, imprisonment, interrogation, persecution—and, in certain historical contexts, even death. In the Soviet Union and other communist regimes, political dissent could cost you your freedom and your life.
Demonstrations independent of the authorities were not a guaranteed right; they were often suppressed by force.
That is why it strikes me to see young Italians proudly displaying the hammer and sickle—symbols associated with regimes that persecuted and imprisoned millions of people.
Today, you are free to take to the streets, shout against the government, criticize institutions, and wave your flags precisely because you live in a democracy that grants you these freedoms. Under an authoritarian regime of that kind, protesting against those in power could have landed you in prison.
This is not about denying the existence of social injustices, inequalities, or the right to fight for a better world. You are free to take to the streets to demand a more just society—but you should not idealize a system that denied so many people the very things you are free to exercise today: the right to choose, to believe, to speak, and to dissent. Before wearing a T-shirt with "CCCP" on it, listen to those who experienced that world. Talk to the deportees and their descendants; read the accounts of those who endured the gulags and forced exile to Siberia. Learn what it meant to be stripped of your freedom, your home, your loved ones—and even any prospect of a normal life—simply because of your background or your beliefs.
Before waving the hammer and sickle, please, study history thoroughly.”

Hello @elonmusk, Hitler historian here, having researched & written about Hitler for 22 yrs & being a fellow of the Hoover Institution - not exactly a hotbed of far left ideas. This doesn’t add up. It is predicated on the false assumption that collectivism only exists on the Left
It's all one war.
This is absolutely nuts and only hitting German papers so far: leaked emails show that seven politicians from Germany's far-right AfD travelled to Syria to meet with Assad regime officials... facilitated by Hezbollah AND Russian intelligence.

Three waves of ballistic missiles have been launched at Kyiv by Russian “humanitarians” since yesterday evening. They used 21 missiles. Unfortunately, numerous sites across the city have been hit and damaged: ordinary residential buildings, energy facilities, infrastructure at one of the railway stations and the metro, shopping malls, and businesses. Even a monastery is among the damaged sites. Our emergency services are working at all the affected locations. Twelve of our regions came under Russian attack overnight. In Kyiv and across the regions, 34 people were injured, including five children. As of now, two people have been confirmed killed. My condolences to their families and loved ones.
Almost immediately after another round of talks, Russia launched a pointed attack. This means there has been no real change in its attitude toward everything that is happening. It is important to keep trying to find the right solutions to end this war. But when Russia responds to negotiations with ballistic missiles, real pressure on Russia is needed to bring about different steps – steps toward ending the killing. Stronger air defenses and the rapid delivery of missiles, the ability to destroy ballistic missile launchers, sanctions over the war – all of this must be in place. I am grateful to everyone who sees the situation for what it is and acknowledges the reality. The aggressor deserves to be treated accordingly. Ukraine deserves support. People's lives deserve protection. Thank you to everyone who stands with Ukraine!
X's contribution to humanity has been to show how everyone's racism is exactly the same, and just as stupid, as everybody else's.
We can simultaneously see how stupid racism is, while drowning in a multilingual ocean of it.
As a connoisseur of racism, I have found no greater joy than discovering other language realms on X where they are truly light years ahead.
Behold the great meme war between the Turks 🇹🇷 and Chinese 🇨🇳 which has been brewing now for 3 days!
It began with a small Turkish account posting a meme of a cat wearing a straw hat + slitty eyes + wispy moustache. A Chinese user then replied with a meme of Patrick Star from SpongeBob parachuting next to the Turkish flag, with a caption along the lines of “I heard the Turkish flag was designed like this, is that true? Both were from small anonymous accounts but now has been viewed by several millions.
Turks took it as mockery of a national symbol and all hell breaks lose.
The broader historical and cultural pile-on on both sides were equally impressive in its deep knowledge of Ottoman / Chinese history, along with very creative vulgarity. I read one Chinese tweet calling Turkey the fleshlight of the entire world. Both sides insulted each other as “might as well be Indians.” Then it got super testy when it ventured into Turkestan/Xinjiang/Uyghur territory, and soon out came digs about the Turkish lira, China virus and other general nationalist trash talk.
The next stage was the free speech Olympics. Turks started posting images of Xi Jinping and daring Chinese users to criticize him to prove that China is “free.” Chinese replies often flipped it to “you criticize Xi but none of you dare criticize Muhammad.” When no Chinese account could criticize Xi, the Turks concluded they were all bots.
The latest stage has been the international expansion.
Japan + Taiwan + Azerbaijan + Spain lined up with Turks against China.
Japanese accounts were the most visible contingent. Taiwan joined the Turkish side for obvious reasons. Azerbaijan was in Turkic solidarity mode. South Korea and Spain too for reasons which are not clear to me.
Iran + Greece + India + Egypt joined up with the Chinese against Turkey.
I saw an Iranian account openly telling the Chinese to keep going and “discipline the Turks” because the Ottoman/Persian rivalry runs deep still. Greece obviously went against the Turks and as for India, who knows. Could’ve gone either way but they chose the Chinese.
The whole thing, while viscous and passionate at times, has strangely left me with the warm fuzzies. Imagine how much more boring life would’ve been without @X’s auto-translate feature

This is why the Epstein Files should be released in full.
I had no idea who @RealScottRitter was until this man started harassing me two weeks ago.
He calls me a scammer, a grifter, a larper, a fake and then his followers start commenting saying things most people would never say to a woman and now my social media accounts are being mass reported.
A quick google search and I knew Scott Ritter is a convicted sex offender, I knew he was involved in an FBI sting operation but, today, reading what actually happened…
Scott Ritter is a sick and twisted individual who should not be given any platform to speak on, who should not be allowed near minors in any case and should not be allowed to harass women on the internet.
The fact that over 500k people are willing to not only forgive this but support him in his disgusting behaviour online and financially, shows how truly depraved the world has become.

The Chinese government is terrorizing its overseas critics, even arranging automobile accidents to silence them.
In this case an individual was tracked with a GPS on his scooter and then rammed by a car. The five men involved were locals, including one private investigator, hired by a Chinese national.
These attacks are a warning to the west. The CCP is expanding its surveillance state into democracies using technology and its connections with organized crime.

Canada desperately needs a civilian foreign intelligence service, like Estonia's EFIS. Lacking one now, Canadians are hopelessly vulnerable to russian Chekist warfare.
Canadians see how russian active measures are tearing apart France and how they already defeated the UK with Brexit and the USA with Trump-for-President.
In Canada, we survived the russia-backed Siege of Ottawa and the Alberta referendum by sheer luck. But in this global war we're in, luck won't see us through next time.

Why is @TheHillTimes giving Russia’s embassy a platform to whitewash its relentless nuclear threats and fearmongering? This is Kremlin cognitive warfare - laundering intimidation as diplomacy while Russian forces continue to bombard and murder Ukrainian civilians and regularly threatens nuclear war.
Don't buy American. They can't be trusted.
The White House has blocked the transfer of Patriot missiles to Ukraine, US officials have said.
The transfer of interceptor missiles from countries friendly to Ukraine requires the approval of Pete Hegseth, the US defence secretary.

This threatening behaviour was obviously caused by Zelenskyy.
As just announced in the @UN First Committee, Russia’s COSMOS 2612 military satellite has been exhibiting threatening behavior by intentionally maneuvering dangerously close to a commercial satellite, behaviors consistent with on-orbit weapons operations. This violates long-established safety thresholds in low Earth orbit. The United States will continue to secure and defend American vital national security interests in, from, and to space.
