Students deserve the opportunity to thrive. Teachers needs the tools to help them. Schools must have the resources to make it possible. At Saturday’s rally in Toronto, @OECTAprez made it clear: Our students deserve better, & we will continue to fight for the supports they need!

The signs at the #onted rally were epic. You can always depend on educators to get creative with their protests.

I don't even know what to say anymore.
NEW: Education Minister Paul Calandra tells me he's "very excited" to have Stan Cho on his team, and that the "quality of his work since he's been an MPP is literally second to none." Premier Ford announced Cho will be joining Calandra’s team as a parliamentary assistant — just three months after Cho resigned from cabinet for charging taxpayers $16,000 in Toronto hotel stays. The new role comes with a $22,500 pay bump. Ford declined to comment. Story: thetrillium.ca/insider-news/…

"You will start doing your job when I say so." My question is: when does the appointed supervisor finish doing his job? It's been 15 months!!! How has the supervision benefited our schools, students, publicly funded education??? ...I'll wait... – at Mississauga, Ontario
ICYMI: Trustees in supervised school boards won’t be sworn in immediately after election, the Ford government says. They will take their oath when the first board meeting it called, on a date controlled by the minister/supervisor globalnews.ca/news/12108029/… #onpoli #onted

If students and families are afraid to seek support, then we need clearer communication. Families deserve transparency, students deserve reassurance and the ministry's policy should be communicated in a way that does not create unnecessary fear for seeking help. – at Mississauga, Ontario
