Why are we interviewing MLB managers when play is actually taking place on the field? Especially in the World Series?? It is not done in the NBA or NFL. Ridiculous for MLB to have that in the TV contracts!
All the tools you need for your own recruiting strategy can be found in this new platform. @OnDeckAthletics No longer does someone need to spend $3,000-5,000 on a recruiting service. Take a look here at everything you get for the cost of a bat and glove.

Many people think D3’s can’t give money! While it’s Academic, Leadership, School grants, etc..., it’s USUALLY more than any athletic money that D1’s or D2’s give for baseball/softball. Don’t be misinformed just bc it’s called something different!

Truth is....It’s NOT the expensive equipment, it’s NOT the private lessons, it’s NOT the fancy travel team, it’s NOT the exclusive camps & showcases, and it’s certainly NOT the college & division you compete at....It’s whether or not you’re willing to do what others will not do.

Players...You can sign/play at ANY, and I repeat ANY college in America.....(D1, D2, D3, NAIA, JUCO)......and end up getting an opportunity to play pro baseball if you are good enough! Chasing twitter glory at your time of commitment leads too many players to the wrong place.

There is not one scout around that believes major leaguers come from any one level and that’s it. If you have the ability and make up you will be found I promise you that. Go where your gonna be able to play and develop. Coach/program is what is important for amateur players!

Imagine if there were real stats for:
🔹Hustle
🔹Playing hard
🔹Toughness
🔹Being a good teammate
🔹Competitiveness
🔹Self sacrifice
⚾️ would be played w/ more passion & excitement!
Coaches take mental notes on these stats & value them tremendously, YOU SHOULD TOO!

Playing @nextlevelbb @ProspectWire tourney and they have a family member heckling our pitchers on EVERY pitch. You can hear him yelling Here it comes in the dirt. Would think travel ball orgs could control their families let alone a tourney director. Keep the chatter on the field

When recruiting, we care very little about the HR you gave up. We watch for what comes after. Body language speaks volumes. Compartmentalize the reaction and get back to work.
So sad to hear this. We were National Crosscheckers together with the Pirates/Braves in the early/mid 90s. Tremendous instincts for which players could use their tools & advance to the big leagues. We had many fun, spirited debates about players! He made me a better scout. RIP BB
