Sometimes God ruins your plans because He already knows your plans would have ruined you. That’s why you should stop calling every disappointment a loss. Sometimes, it’s protection. Sometimes, it’s redirection. Sometimes, it’s God saving you from something you were too blind to see. Happy Sunday everyone

As a business owner this is why it always good to have insurance. The government is supposed to make it mandatory.
“I had cars worth over ₦500 million in my lot, and it wasn’t just my cars that got burnt. My customers’ cars worth over ₦200 million were also destroyed. They hadn’t even had the chance to pick up the cars they paid me to buy for them.” — Moses Auto Car Care recounts how the fire that destroyed his auto shop started.

When you’re single and live in a compound full of married people, Saturday is anything but a rest day. Either children are crying, couples are fighting, or parents are shouting and beating their kids. There’s always one drama or another. Can I just enjoy some peace and quiet? 🤦🏼‍♀️

Fetching water is the chore I hate the most. 😭

This tweet you made about TS Academy and Don jazzy trying to sc@m Nigerians doesn't even make any sense ‼️🙄 Where in the world will you ever learn, data Analyst, cyber security, UI/UX, software developing, AI & Video Creation, front/back end developing, etc for 26K. TS Academy is a company with staff working for them, you can decide to do hybrid and online. So to pay 26K to acquire a skill that will help your life, is too much?? In a country that the government doesn't give a fvck! Do you folks know this training last for 3-6 months, at the end you get certification for it. You think all the international scholarships awarded, you won't pay shishi??? You don't even understand human phycology, when you pay for things, you take it serious!! The same TS Academy that is giving out Laptops worth over 400k????? You folks just wake up, and tweet things without proper understanding. Comparing Tech Skill to Dangote IPO shares is just ridiculous. Do not ever discredit a Tech skill. If you don't know what to tweet, give X a break!!
So Don Jazzy partnered with TS Academy to offer what is being presented as a scholarship to Nigerians, but the scholarship acceptance fee is around ₦26,000. Lmao. Imagine 300 people paying ₦26,000 each. That is ₦7.8 million. Only God knows when ordinary Nigerians will be free from the grip of rich people. Dangote is promising us heaven and earth to make us rich by force. They are hawking IPO shares in the market now. Another packaged tech course is here again. Of course, it could be a paid promotion or partnership, whatever you want to call it. Several celebrities and big accounts on X have also promoted TS Academy. But my question is simple: how many Nigerians who have taken these courses are now earning comfortably from the skills they acquired? How many have secured jobs, landed clients or built sustainable businesses from the training? Every day, it is tech, tech, tech. Everybody is selling one course or promoting one academy. Nigerians are desperately looking for ways to escape poverty, and these businesses know it.

Don Jazzy clearly mentioned that there's an application fee. It is also mentioned twice in the website, and that it will be discounted. If you were to pay for those courses that run 3 to 4 months, how much do you think they cost? Is it N26k that made you write this long note or you just don't rate tech enough? The sum is simply an application fee, everyone have a right to decide not to pay. Even international scholarships are not always 100%. Human psychology is interesting because people take those classes more seriously when they have to pay something however little, than when it is completely free. The academy have teachers and engineers to pay. They supply laptops and study materials for their students. They organize retreat in every city for their students to connect. Or you just feel like dragging Don Jazzy inspite of all his kindnesses?

Some Nigerian bigots like you lack comprehension. A tech programme that costs ₦447k is being offered for free, and beneficiaries only have to pay a ₦26k acceptance fee. Yet, you’re framing it as exploitation. You calculated ₦26k × 300 people as ₦7.8m, but what about the value of the training? ₦447k × 300 is ₦134.1 million worth of training that beneficiaries stand to receive. Have you even researched how much it costs to learn these skills before condemning the initiative? It’s fair to ask about the programme’s outcomes and how many people eventually secure jobs, but dismissing the initiative without considering the value being offered is just as misleading. And what support have you personally offered to the people you feel so entitled to criticise this kind of initiative for helping?
