š® Nick Ferrari STUNNED after minister reveals ending rough sleeping costs Ā£190,000 per person
On LBC this morning, Nick Ferrari asked Cabinet Office Minister Sally Jameson how many people are currently sleeping rough. She put the figure at around 4,000.
With more than Ā£850 million allocated to the governmentās pledge to get them all off the streets by Christmas, that works out at roughly Ā£190,000 each.
Ferrariās reaction: āWhat on earth? We could buy them all a house. Where does the money go?ā
Great question, Nick. If the money was actually going to the homeless, Ā£190,000 a head would house them easily. Instead, everyone in the system, charities, consultants, local authorities, and middlemen takes their cut first. Whatās left after all the slices is nowhere near enough, which is why the problem never gets solved. Itās not a funding issue. Itās a racket.

Replying to @ChrisMusson
@ChrisMusson makes some fair and uncomfortable points about Holyrood.
Too much political theatre. Too little serious scrutiny. Too many SNP ministers escaping proper accountability while public services deteriorate, crime rises and taxpayers' money is wasted.
MSPs aren't elected to make up the numbers, obey party machines or give ministers an easy ride.
We're elected to represent people, challenge those in power and get things done.
Holyrood needs fundamental reform. After 27 years of devolution, we should be asking why our Parliament is still so poor at holding the government to account ā and doing something about it.

Who could have possibly predicted this?!?!
Cyclists are continuing to ride along the newly pedestrianised section of Oxford Street, despite being asked to dismount.
Around seven security staff have been stationed near Oxford Circus, calling out to cyclists to get off their bikes, with mixed success.

This is fucking outrageous. Wetherspoons are now denying people entry for wearing a poppy. Tim Martin, what the actual fuck are you doing?
This is so beyond the pale. Why do you hate our country so much? A poppy is a symbol of remembrance and respect for our fallen heroes. Come on.
There must now be a national boycott of Wetherspoons. Support businesses that support our country and respect our servicemen who gave their lives for this country.
The SNP is taking Scotlandās taxpayers for mugs.
800 civil servants still being paid after their jobs ceased to existāall to protect its āno compulsory redundancyā dogma.
Utterly outrageous.
Major investigation from The Sunday Times - the Scottish state is paying a minimum of £27m a year to around 800 public sector workers, in the NHS, councils, police etc who do not have a job, but they cannot be made redundant owing to SNP policy

Greta Thunberg was arrested again, but this time it's different. This time, she's not getting out.
Thunberg "crossed the line," according to Interpol Director Josef Barrone. "Setting off an explosive device, no matter how small, is an act of terrorism."
Thunberg was taken into custody by police in Rome after she threw an exploding box full of confetti into the fountain in St. Peter's Square. She faces a mandatory minimum of three years in prison.
"She's very lucky nobody was hurt, or it would be much longer."
Her parents paid her $5 million bail.
What's your response to this......??š

SNP ministers are forever telling us thereās no money. Then we discover this.
The Sunday Times reports at least £27 million a year spent retaining around 800 public sector workers without permanent posts. Some waiting five years. One for 17 years.
How on earth has this been allowed to continue? Swinney must answer for this disgrace.
Itās not the SNPās money. Itās taxpayersā money.

For the avoidance of doubt (since some have been asking), the 800 on the Scottish public payroll without proper jobs does NOT include the 129 MSPs in Holyrood š¤£š¤£š¤£
Astounding Sunday Times investigation reveals new scandal in SNPās Socialist Scotland:
800 NHS, central government, council and quango workers whose jobs no longer exist but remain on the public payroll because of the SNPās āno public-sector redundancyā policy.
Estimated cost of paying people to do nothing: £27m a year.
One NHS Highland worker has been receiving a full salary and benefits for 17 years despite not having a specific job.
The health board refused to say what the worker had been doing for almost two decades and how much they had been paid.
Likely cost to the taxpayer is expected to be far higher with several public bodies refusing to disclose salaries for hundreds of the workers awaiting redeployment.
