We tend to judge a PDF by how it looks. Not everyone experiences it that way. 🔎 📄 A document that looks clear and easy to navigate can be a very different experience for someone using assistive technology... and many of the accessibility issues that affect that experience aren’t obvious to most of us. 🤔 Making documents accessible at scale can be challenging, especially when teams are managing large volumes of content. Accessibility automation can help simplify the process, improve consistency, and support compliance requirements. 💡 Learn how automated accessibility remediation can help make your documents more inclusive: ow.ly/qbTC5100Rns

Two former senior FBI officials, Nikki Cole Floris and Bradley Benavides, were taken into custody today on charges of allegedly lying to Congress about their involvement in the FBI’s investigations into Hunter Biden. The charges stem from an ongoing investigation into the since-dissolved FBI Foreign Influence Task Force. Floris led the FITF as a Deputy Assistant Director from mid-2019 through mid-2022. Benavides was the FITF Section Chief from mid-2019 through the 2020 election. Both testified that the FITF was not involved in the Hunter Biden investigations. Documentary evidence, contemporaneous communications, and witness accounts contradict their testimony. Floris is also on record privately claiming to be “running a shadow government” during the 2020 election in her role on the FITF. Lying to Congress by senior FBI officials strikes at the heart of our system. No one is above the law. The FBI has already dismantled the corrupt CR-15 squad that engaged in political weaponization targeting their opponents, including President Trump. Right now, a genocide against Christians, perpetrated by Muslims, is happening in Nigeria. More than 3,000 members of Reverend Ezekiel Dachomo’s church have been killed. And he has already conducted over 200 mass burials for his congregation. This year alone, more Christians have been killed in Nigeria than Gazans in 3 years of war. But no one seems to care, and the media remains silent.

🚨 QUEST DIAGNOSTICS CONFIRMS CYBERATTACK — PATIENT MEDICAL RECORDS ACCESSED, NUMBER AFFECTED UNKNOWN Millions of Americans rely on Quest Diagnostics for laboratory testing. Now the company confirms hackers accessed a system containing sensitive patient information. ▪️ BREACH DISCOVERED: Quest identified unauthorized access to its Quanum Lab Services Manager system on October 21. ▪️ PATIENT DATA: The company confirmed that health information or personally identifiable information was involved. Exactly what was accessed remains under investigation. ▪️ SYSTEMS DISABLED: Quest temporarily suspended access to affected services while investigating the intrusion. ▪️ FEDERAL INVESTIGATION: Law enforcement has been notified, and outside cybersecurity specialists are assisting. ▪️ REPEAT BREACHES: A 2019 incident involving a third-party billing vendor affected approximately 11.9 million Quest patients. Another breach exposed information belonging to roughly 34,000 people in 2016. Quest says core operations have not been materially disrupted and affected individuals will be notified as required. Patients entrust medical laboratories with some of their most private information. How many records were exposed, and what security failures allowed another breach? This is fun to read.
The British army once sentenced Daniel Morgan to 500 lashes, a punishment that usually killed a man, for the crime of knocking out an officer who struck him. He survived every stroke. And he spent the rest of his life joking that the drummer had miscounted and only given him 499, so the British still owed him one. He collected that debt at a place called Cowpens. Morgan was not born to anything. He was a rough, barely educated frontiersman who made his living hauling freight by wagon on the Virginia frontier, a big, powerful, hot-tempered young man. During the French and Indian War, serving as a civilian teamster with the British army, a British lieutenant struck him with the flat of a sword. Morgan answered with his fist and dropped the officer cold. For a colonial to strike a British officer was close to a capital offense, and the court-martial sentenced him to five hundred lashes with the cat-o'-nine-tails, a flogging meant to flay a man and very often to kill him. They tied him up and laid it on, and Daniel Morgan did not die. He carried the ridged scars on his back for the rest of his life. But instead of breaking him, that brutal punishment forged something. It left him with a cold, permanent hatred of the British army and its contempt for colonial men like him, a hatred he would one day repay with interest. And it gave him his lifelong joke: the drummer lost count and stopped at 499, so the British, he liked to say, were still one lash short of paying him in full. When the Revolution came, that uneducated wagoner turned out to be a natural soldier of rare gifts. He raised a company of frontier riflemen, crack shots who could kill at distances that terrified British regulars, and he led them north to Saratoga, where his marksmen helped shatter Burgoyne's army and win the turning-point victory of the war. Morgan had a feel for battle that trained European officers lacked, an instinct for ground, for timing, and above all for the men he led. He understood that his militia were not professional soldiers and could not be asked to do what professionals did, so instead of cursing them for it, he built his tactics around what they could do. That genius reached its peak at the Battle of Cowpens in January 1781, one of the most perfectly fought battles in American history. Facing the dreaded Banastre Tarleton, Morgan set a trap built entirely on human nature. He put his unreliable militia in the front line and asked them only for two volleys, then permission to fall back, which they gladly did. Tarleton's British, seeing the Americans retreat, charged forward in a confident rush straight into Morgan's real line of hardened Continentals, and then Morgan sprang the jaws, hitting the British on both flanks at once in a double envelopment while his cavalry rode down their rear. In minutes Tarleton's command was destroyed, hundreds killed and captured, one of the most crushing and complete victories of the war, and Tarleton himself barely escaped. It was the frontier wagoner out-generaling the darlings of the British army. So the debt was paid. The boy they tried to flog to death grew up to be the man who methodically dismantled the British in the field, who understood soldiers because he had been treated like dirt as one, and who turned the hard lessons of his own back into some of the finest tactics the Revolution ever saw. Remember Daniel Morgan. The British gave him 499 lashes and made an enemy who never forgot, and he collected the last one at Cowpens, with interest.

🚨 Here is the full 33 minutes from inside yesterdays historic White House fraud announcement: For the first time ever there is an incentive for everyday citizens to expose fraud. Prior it could take years and many attorneys to be able to claim the money exposed from fraudsters now you can receive the funds much faster. Now you can claim 1% of the fraud that you expose. For example, if you expose $100 million you receive $1 million, if you expose $1 billion you receive $10 million. Plain and simple. The tables have completely turned on the fraudsters, now they have nowhere to hide if someone knows they are committing fraud and wants to report them and receive cash they can now do so 💰 good luck learers 💀 For far too long fraudsters were able to use your tax dollars as an infinite piggy bank to enrich themselves as you pay for their luxurious lifestyles. Now YOU can report and stop the fraud and be rewarded. START LOOKING. EXPOSE IT ALL.

PSA- make sure to update your NAS
Effective Immediately, all organizations using PHP for their systems are advised to be prepared for an update addressing two critical vulnerabilities. PHP is widely used for web applications. These vulnerabilities often provide a direct path to the server's file system or database. If an immediate update is not feasible, it is recommend that organizations take the system offline until it can be fully mitigated. NSA will follow up shortly with more specific guidance.

One of the biggest issues. Until we cut up government credit cards, we will never get out of debt. Debt hurts every program: the poor, seniors, and national defense.
"Musk cited the political establishment’s lack of will as the main reason for the difficulty in reducing the fiscal deficit. He argued, 'No one in the White House, Senate, House, or judiciary has the will to cut spending,' and claimed that except for a few like Republican Senator Rand Paul, there are virtually no politicians willing to reduce government spending." chosun.com/english/industry-…
