Why does a great game need to have elimination stakes? Bama Georgia was great. Texas Ohio state was great. Oregon Ohio state in 2024 was great. None of them had elimination stakes we don’t need every game all year to be an elimination game or have bigger ramifications. Let’s just watch great football games all year because they are great football games. Just like we always have I never once turned on a game on a Saturday in October because someone was going to be eliminated. Not in 1990, not in the BCS era, not in the CFP4 era, and not now. I turned on that game because it was a game featuring great teams that I couldn’t wait to watch We are replacing 4 neutral site CVGs and 6 neutral site bowl games with 12 extra on campus playoff games. That’s a big win to me Is this new system perfect? No. There are things I would change. But the current system isn’t perfect either. Nor was the one before or the one before that or the ones before that. There has never been a perfect system in CFB I’m just excited we are giving more fanbases more reasons to stay engaged and we are getting more quality on campus football games going forward.

You get exactly what you want and don’t throw it

Flea flicker... When the safety drives down you have to throw the post. It's wide open. Maybe he can't make this throw? I don't know. Should have been a TD

*SMALL* Glass Half Full Opinion If Dante doesn’t get hurt, he papers over a broken offense staff/system. We go 10-2, lose in playoffs and 2027 is doomed. We may even not learn Raiola isn’t the guy. Once we decided to promote Drew, roll with this offensive staff, and OL, we never could win a title. That’s brutal, but the reality. Now, 2027 slate is clean. New OC, new offensive staff and new QB that’s not on campus now. Nail that stuff, and we’re back in business. A small silver lining I suppose 🦆

Last thing before bed, we blame Drew a lot and it’s fair, but everyone keeps saying we should’ve went to the portal for O-line. The reality is if Alique Terry was good at development we shouldn’t need the portal! His “law firm” has had transfer talent that made him look good.

DUCKS WIN‼️ No. 10 Oregon toughs out a four-set road win at Ohio State (24-26, 25-23, 25-19, 26-24), saved a pair of set points to avoid going to a fifth frame. Next 👉 Friday vs Maryland (6 p.m., B1G+) to start a four-match home stand. #GoDucks

I agree with this, because at this point at 4-3 it’s about messaging just as much as results. Because what kind of message are sending to your team continuously trotting out a lame duck OC.
Dan has to relieve Drew of his duties tomorrow. This is generationaally bad OC’ing. You have to send a message right now to your team, fans, boosters, recruits, and everyone

UCF gets absolutely screwed by a picked up flag. Should have been 15 yards and another chance to kick

Oregon roster is supposed to be good enough to withstand a QB injury especially against fucking Illinois so please don't use that excuse. They are a full blown failure

The ONLY possible good that can come out of this disaster of a season is that we don’t retain the inept coaches that caused it
Does it suck Dante took that hit and the SC guy is starting tonight? Yeah. Would we be 6-1 with Dante? Yeah. But, the offensive operation and staff is broken and we would have learned that eventually. So learned it now. We gave the best roster in the sport a defunct staff

The promotion of Drew mehringer is going to set our program back years. With recruiting and roster turnover, who fucking knows the trickle down effect of this. I really hope Dan just rips the fucking bandaid off, complete waste of a season. I feel so bad for all the seniors

I feel bad for the players. This has to be a growth opportunity and learning season for Dan Lanning. Let’s hire some veteran coaches, please.

Plain and simple this offensive game plan since the opening drive is complete garbage. Only calling runs in obvious situation. We have no issue attaching an RPO to a first down run but not a third down run where the edges aren’t protected?

Drew Mehringer might go down as the single worst hire at Oregon in it's history. Moreso than Helfrich to HC.

That was exactly the same as the interception they overturned earlier. Exactly. They overturn one and uphold the other. Bullshit
