Lots of change recently with the NIKKE cc stuff, TOS enforcing, bans levied across regions. My two cents no one asked for: Please chill it with the personal attacks against creators, people mess up but that shouldn’t diminish YEARS of content they provided. As far as the TOS stuff - I’m a game dev, so I’m always a staunch supporter of following a game’s TOS. I’ve never had to personally write one, but if I did, I’d expect my terms to be followed by players. That being said, not all game companies enforce their TOS and it causes major turbulence when they change this up. Sometimes it’s even in a game studio’s best interest to NOT enforce their TOS. Example is Blizzard, back in the day Blizzard largely ignored botting and gold selling/buying. This helped veteran players returning and upped their CCU in dire times of low subscribers. Later when blizzard greedily solved this issue (mostly, with the wow token) they started enforcing their TOS more strictly. Caused a lot of drama. SU set an example and then when the issue started to become less ignorable they had to eventually enforce for fairness play. I totally get that but more communication of the impending punishments probably would have been useful here. Doesn’t help that the bans seem to also be unevenly applied and that causes extra friction in the community. I love all you guys but please know people get caught up in their shit. I’m old enough to have made plenty of mistakes myself but nothing is generally worth major harassment online.
