Let us be humble in the mystery of Jesus Christ. Christ invites us to share in a universal love, God in all, an inclusive love. Jesus asks us to love the human in front of us. This may be your family or tribe. But it may be a tax-collector, prostitute or Samaritan.
Just google “ordo amoris.” Aside from that, the idea that there isn’t a hierarchy of obligations violates basic common sense. Does Rory really think his moral duties to his own children are the same as his duties to a stranger who lives thousands of miles away? Does anyone?

WE NOW HAVE A YEAR OF DATA SINCE 20MPH WAS INTRODUCED IN WALES There were around 100 fewer people killed or seriously injured on 20/30mph roads. The number of casualties in 2024 from July-Sept was the lowest Q3 figures in Wales since records began. Over the year since it came in the number of casualties on roads affected by the law is 28% lower than the year before. This is good policy making.

📢 England members @NHSEngland and @Wesstreeting have launched the 'Red Tape Challenge', a rapid review into bureaucracy across the NHS. In our member survey, you told us you spend a 1/3 of your time on unnecessary workload and bureaucracy. Now's your chance to tell the Government and NHS about what they should do to change this. They are keen to hear about: ➡️ How to improve the interface between primary and secondary care ➡️ How referrals are made and managed ➡️ Patient discharge ➡️ How different parts of the health service communicate with each other You have until Monday 16 December to email your comments and suggestions to [email protected] When submitting, you can copy in [email protected] if you would like us to collate your comments and consider using them in our own submission and connected work. Your valued input can help shape the outcome of these reviews, and in turn, shape the general practice of tomorrow.

Seems perfectly reasonable. The only sensible critique might be that she should broaden her reading variety...

Thanks @EChrisDee for writing an editorial in @BrJCancer on our study. You highlight the diversity of migrants, the plurality of barriers to accessing cancer care & the need for action. As an early-career researcher, it's humbling to think that my work merits an editorial! 🙏
🙏Thank you @BrJCancer for the invitation to write in response to work by Dr Harvey-Sullivan et al. ☝️ Many #migrant people face intersecting barriers in access to #cancer #care globally, necessitating multi-sectoral & human-centric intervention. 🔗 nature.com/articles/s41416-0…

Just got a text from @NHSBT that the blood I donated a few weeks ago has just been issued to a patient! I love this communication from them, it makes the impact feel so real and personal. Got that warm feeling 😊 Every donation counts.

Vaccines have saved more lives throughout history than any other intervention. Furthermore, vaccines promote equity by saving lives in LMICs where more vaccine-preventable deaths occur. scientificamerican.com/artic…
