Today I'm launching a survey to support research I'm doing with @MOPACLdn on when and why victims withdraw from the criminal justice system. If you reported to the police but then decided (or felt pushed) to drop out / disengage, have your voice heard 👇 londonvoice.org.uk/victimatt…

My “work big sister” - too young and too fun to be my “work mum”! The world is a darker place 💔
It is with great sadness that we share that our treasured colleague and friend, Kate Smith, passed away unexpectedly on 2 September 2023. Our deepest condolences go to her family and many friends. In memory: cls.ucl.ac.uk/in-memory-of-k…

The mode shift between 2019-22 for the German microcensus is huge (and COVID-driven). A massive reduction in CAPI (yellow) and introduction of web (dark green). However, still a persistent core using paper (pink) #ESRA23

Growing Up In Digital Europe (GUIDE - @EuroCohort) has conducted a pre-pilot to inform questionnaire development. Cognitive interviewing with both children and parents has yielded a huge amount of learning (too much for me to summarise - see pics!) #ESRA23

Till Stefes looks at whether the presence of an external supervisor in classroom-based surveys has benefits for data quality. He finds external supervisors are good for interview duration - allowing students longer to complete the survey. Further research recommended #ESRA23
