𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗢𝗧𝗬𝗣𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗜𝘀 𝗡𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗮 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗟𝗼𝗼𝗸! Today, on a Sunday of all days, I received an unexpected DM from a new connection. The issue? I identify as Christian on some of my social profiles. Without knowing me personally, this individual expressed distrust toward Christians, stating: "... most people who claim to be Christians are bullsh-tters." (Profanity partially censored.) I was genuinely taken aback. 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗱𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘁, 𝗵𝘆𝗽𝗼𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹, 𝗼𝗿 𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵𝘆 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗷𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗲, 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗺. 𝗛𝘆𝗽𝗼𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘆 𝗲𝘅𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀. 𝗦𝗼 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆. 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗲𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗿. 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗷𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁. Perhaps the better question isn't how someone identifies, but simply: 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲? That's the standard I strive to extend to all. #Christianity #Faith #MutualRespect #Character #Integrity #PersonalGrowth
