I say this with all the emphasis in the world
I hope Sam Altman sits on a cactus before bed every night.
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman says it’s “quite terrible” that people have so much DRAM sitting in their own PCs instead of being used in data centers.
“Everyone have a bunch of the world’s limited supply of DRAM sitting in their own computer. And be used 5% of the time,”
He argues that cloud data centers should make better use of limited memory supplies instead of people running AI models locally.
If he wants it, case Keenum is gonna be a really good coach one day.
"Casey! Thank you!"
Case Keenum told Caleb Williams what he was seeing, and QB1 executed it on the field 🗣️
@insidethenfl Week 7 Mic'd Up on X

BREAKING: The #Titans are trading All-Pro DT Jeffrey Simmons to the #Bears, per @TomPelissero. A blockbuster.
Tama In-Between is a well designed puzzle game that's paced well, has a cute and cozy vibe, and is a great tool to teach kids logical decision making, while still being something adults would play. My review in the replies! #gaming #indiegames
Why the fuck was it allowed in the first place
Eagles RB Saquon Barkley said he was forced to divest his equity stake in Polymarket to comply with NFL rules.
Barkley told Front Office Sports that the league told players that being involved with prediction markets is no longer allowed. spr.ly/6012BHltU6
As someone who literally tries to find gems.....honestly I don't know if any algorithm that's going to do this without catching valid games in the cross fire. The problem is that slop that floods things. It just takes too much time to go through that shit.
Valve says a “significant number” of employees are working on Steam’s growing visibility problem as the platform becomes increasingly crowded with new releases.
The company also says it won’t gatekeep games made with AI.
“We don’t want to be gatekeepers telling developers which tools they should or shouldn’t use.”
Valve wants to improve Steam’s discovery systems so good games can still stand out in an increasingly crowded store.
While I do think it's not as bad as art (but it's not that far off): the thing I want to point out specifically is that it has trained on open source that is licensed at times: and it can easily break those licenses.
And yeah, maintenance wise? It can be nightmareish.
Does copyright mean anything anymore? Im just so tired of the blatant theft going on, especially in the indie space.
Man fuck what AI has done to the industry. It could have been a great tool given restrictions. We just gave everyone a nuke.
As someone always looking at the upcoming indie games on steam, please for the love of fucking God start being a gatekeeper.
Valve admits Steam has a slop and cloning problem but says 'we don't want to be gatekeepers' with AI pcgamer.com/software/ai/valv…
