It looks for: fraud scams sanctions exposure financial crime Stablecoins want to become payment infrastructure. That also means inheriting the compliance stack of payment infrastructure.

Banks may have one simple weapon against stablecoins: interest A BIS working paper found that stablecoin growth tends to slow when U.S. banks increase deposit rates. USDC appears particularly sensitive. That makes sense.

If users can earn attractive yield on dollars inside a bank account, the opportunity cost of holding a non-yielding stablecoin increases. Stablecoins aren’t only competing with each other. They’re competing with bank deposits too.

Strive also raised $369M from warrant exercises Alongside the latest BTC purchase, Strive said investors exercised warrants generating about $369.2M in expected gross proceeds. Roughly 94% of the outstanding warrants have now been exercised.

That matters because treasury companies need constant access to capital if they want to keep accumulating. The BTC strategy is only as strong as the financing behind it.

Strive wants another $500M for its Bitcoin strategy Strive is separately looking to raise around $500M through its SATS preferred stock. The security carries a fixed 15% dividend at par. That’s an important number. Bitcoin treasury companies aren’t getting free capital.

The higher the financing cost, the harder BTC has to work before the structure creates value for common shareholders. Buying Bitcoin is easy. Building a sustainable balance sheet around it is much harder.

Bitmine now owns almost 5% of all ETH Bitmine added another 12,532 ETH. Its treasury has reached roughly 6.03M ETH, equal to about 4.9% of Ethereum’s total supply. That’s an enormous concentration for one public company.

ETH treasury companies aren’t just copying the Strategy playbook anymore. Because ETH can be staked, the model also includes yield. But concentration this large cuts both ways when the underlying asset moves.

XRP Ledger had a bug that could have broken its fixed supply XRPL developers recently patched a decade-old integer overflow bug that could theoretically have created XRP beyond the network’s intended supply. The issue had existed since 2015.

Developers say there is no evidence it was ever exploited. What makes this even more interesting is how the fix happened: The normal amendment process was bypassed because publishing the vulnerability before the patch took effect could have exposed the network to attack.
