This is, thus far, the largest contribution CTU made to Hilario's campaign. Up until now, it's been mostly in-kind contributions for Hilario's campaign expenses.

It sounds like you're saying the IDES count is too high a denominator, because it's counting jobs, not workers, and includes part-time as well. But wouldn't that mean that the tax applies to a far *higher* percentage of total full-time workers in Chicago? Which seems bad?

Good piece by @yancyforthe5th.
This highlights how Mayor Johnson has often governed by subtraction rather than addition, relying on divisive rhetoric instead of building coalitions.
We need to collaborate if we’re going to improve the myriad of problems our city faces!

Monday am is first deadline for petitions for #ChiMayor27 and other city offices. Mayor candidates need 12,500 signatures from registered voters.
Look for @Giannoulias to have nearly 60K signatures. Some may need more time and have one more week to get those signatures.

OIG’s having a year, huh? Felt some kind of way when I saw this line of thinking previewed in the Trib: xitter.cf/drixander/status/21063… Did not expect the OIG to be echoing it. This is not the standard by which we should judge the harassment of girls.

It's been interesting watching candidates seek endorsements, sit through interviews, then attack the organizations that didn’t endorse them. If the support is so objectionable, why seek it? Or is it only a problem when someone else gets it?
