We’ve been putting up some older tracks and fan favourites on @LegendaryHearts YouTube page recently with lots more to come. Dive in here if you have a spare few minutes:

Had a nice tour of the Mossman Gorge and the Daintree Rain Forest in Queensland. Saw a lizard, a bug and a crocodile. Oh, and I licked a fizzy lemon flavoured ant! Hoped to see a lot more but you can’t really choreograph nature, particularly when much of it is nocturnal.
I love experiencing new things, however I wasn’t counting on a “Christmas Beetle” appearing in my swimming shorts and me not noticing until I’d been wearing them for 2 hours. @WordWeaverJane will back me up on this one as will a prominent local Marine Biologist. Poor insect! 😳
Heading out to The Great Barrier Reef for a spot of…er…reefing. Apparently we’l be swimming and snorkelling and there *probably* won’t be any sharks. Let’s see if that’s actually the case. See y’all later…maybe… 😎
I’ve been driving pick up trucks since 2004. There are many, mainly shiny, examples in Australia but this is the best so far. These lads have been way out in the wilds and the red iron-oxidised dust is everywhere. I salute them. 👍🫡👍
Wednesday afternoon in Port Douglas. Pre-mixed Wild Turkey Rare in a can and @thebeatcroft ‘s recent and indeed excellent radio show on the iPad. Going down rather nicely after this morning’s longish coastal trail walk in baking heat.
#PacificTour2026
It appears @Beathhigh’s new novel has reached Port Douglas, Queensland, Australia.
Arrived it Port Douglas. Way too hot for this pale Scot. So we went to a Chinese Restaurant and ate a ton of food, drank a bucket of cold beer and a jug of iced water. Still way too hot. Now awaiting ice creams.
It’s two years today since a headless corpse was found on Edinburgh’s Cowgate with the head being found a short time later 200m away. The story vanished almost immediately. “Move on. Nothing to see here.” apparently. Strange old business and the snell of bullshit still lingers.
And so it’s farewell from a somewhat dreich Sydney. We’ve had an absolute blast here. Best hotel room view ever! Today we’re moving on to Cairns, where we understand the weather is going to be somewhat *toasty*. Our South Pacific Tour 2026 continues…
It’s always a delight to catch up with @stevekilbey of @thechurchband. Last night’s show at the superb Sydney Opera House was an absolute cracker. Then we hooked up with guitarist Ian Haug and before we knew it the beers were flowing and it was 4am!
A memorable Sunday! 🎼👍🎼
It’s Sunday so I’m dressed up and ready to go to church. Well, when I say “church” I actually mean *The Church*.
Sydney Opera House at 10am GMT.
Bring it on!
🎼😎🎼 @thechurchband
Hotel room view. This more than makes up for Greymouth. No sunshine today as yet but we’ve been promised it by 1pm.
Today we were treated to a boat tour around Sydney Harbour. It was excellent. Our captain Ron showed us his guest book containing signatures from satisfied customers such as Bette Midler, Billy Connolly, Nick Cave, ZZ Top, Mick Fleetwood, Cliff Richard, Guns & Roses and more.
This is gonna be an absolute cracker of a show!
If you’re in Sydney this weekend (or indeed out and about in Australia in November) and can find a ticket, I wholeheartedly recommend you grab it and soak up what will be an epic sonic treat and indeed unique experience.
Tour starts THIS WEEKEND, and we could not be more excited for the first stop to be at the legendary @SydOperaHouse. Which show will we be seeing YOU at these next few weeks?? ✨✨
Having an excellent morning in the company of @thechurchband’s groovemaster Tim “Time Bandit” Powles including a visit to his legendary “Space Junk” recording studio near Sydney. Setting me up rather nicely for The Church’s Sydney Opera House gig on Sunday. 🎼👍🎼
Had a great afternoon in The Blue Mountains with my rock’n’roll pal and Canadian ex-pat Tony in Katoomba. He took us to the Echo Point Lookout from where the view is stunning. Then I found some excellent dark ales in a Blackheath liquor store. An excellent Thursday!
