there are multiple moments in this movie - and that final fight in particular - where the artistry on display is so aesthetically overwhelming that i was instantly out of breath and moved to tears. an astonishing, once-in-a-lifetime achievement of filmmaking and storytelling that made me feel like i was falling in love with fantasy for the first time all over again.
one of the strongest arguments i’ve ever seen against anything thinking it can replace art that humans make themselves. pure magic as a movie.

I feel like so much was cut from Clayface that would’ve provided some context and reasoning behind how Matt operates and why. There’s a whole lot of “tell don’t show” with his past (it’s constantly brought up but left vague). This movie might benefit greatly from an extended cut.

This is the same date I found based on researching the French labor law regarding the divestiture of Arkane from Xbox. However, if the game is nearing the end of its production cycle (which lines up pretty well with that planned November 2027 release, giving them plenty of time to polish the game), WHY THE HELL is Xbox not just saying “Fuck it” and footing the rest of the bill for this project?!?
It’s a Marvel IP, and if this was a situation where Xbox decided to make it an exclusive first party title AND it’s received well? You bet your ass people would be willing to grab an Xbox to check it out. Sony is vulnerable, especially in the quality department for their first party games, as while I didn’t HATE Wolverine, it represented everything I no longer enjoy in gaming. Blade can and SHOULD operate as a stark and necessary counterpoint.
