I wish Prime Minister @netanyahu all the best and victory in todays elcctions. I hope and pray that @Israel, standing with the United States, will soon bring down the EVIL Iranian regime and it's terrorist proxies who commit acts of violence globally. Doing so would open a new chapter of peace for the Middle East and for the entire world. 🌎✌️ In the only #Jewish state, democracy remains strong, vibrant, and fully alive. 🇮🇱🇺🇸🇨🇦💪 @IsraelinCanada @MoedIddo

Christy Clark tore up their contract during her reign of terror and I fully expect that to happen again
The BC teachers union president issued this statement today 🥴 "I recognize that with the outcome of a Conservative government, many of us may be feeling disappointed, scared, or deeply concerned about what might come next. I know these results may be particularly concerning for Indigenous, racialized, and 2SLGBTQIA+ members. You are not alone."

Talk about undesirable attention... – at Musqueam 2, British Columbia
🚨 JUST NOW: President Trump congratulates both British Columbia Conservative leader Lorne Doerkson and Quebec's Paul St-Pierre Plamondon after MASSIVE provincial election wins dealt a crushing DOUBLE BLOW to Canadian PM Mark Carney and the Left INCREDIBLE! "Congratulations to Lorne Doerkson on his Big Victory. Conservatives are moving strong in Canada! President" "Congratulations to Paul St-Pierre Plamondon on his WIN!" In British Columbia, left-wing NDP Premier David Eby called a snap election and just got ousted by Conservatives While Parti Quebecois leader St-Pierre Plamondon swept Quebec earlier this month in a major rebuke to the Liberals MARK CARNEY IS IN SHAMBLES 🇺🇸🇨🇦

I hope so. Please @PtFry @COPEVancouver @seanorr be as obstructive to the BC Conservative agenda as possible! 🙏
Could Premier Lorne Doerkson’s BC Conservative government find its biggest political headache from Vancouver City Hall? 🤔 Mayor Pete Fry may be B.C.’s de facto opposition leader as Vancouver and Victoria may clash over pipelines, housing, involuntary care, and AI data centres!

This is who @marissenmark says Liberals are supporting. Get real. He shits on me when ever he can for supporting @KerryLynneFindl, and now that his ex-wife and half of his Mayoral campaign team are all BC Conservatives, everything's fine and he's on board. Fuck off 🖕 Unlike Mark, I'm beyond proud to have supported @SChandraHerbert @terryyungyvr @bcndp @Dave_Eby
I confirmed the event with two sources, and if that ain’t enough for you, here’s a reply from Premier-elect Lorne Doerkson’s campaign photographer to the tweet. #bcpoli #cdnpoli

Bullshit, Christy isn't a liberal anymore. Is that why the party is hiring exorcists Mark? Are you organizing for them all of a sudden? There were more members of the Pacific Caucus ready and willing to work with KLF then this dude. You're wrong. If you want a provincial wing of the Federal Liberal Party in BC, get the Indigenous Caucus or the Young Liberals to bring it to a vote at LPC Convention, don't just start it yourself. We saw how well that worked with the Vancouver Liberals... 😬 #bcpoli

It certainly is more than it was a few months ago. Prior to Doerkson becoming the leader, there were no Liberals in the BC Conservative Party. There are a few now, including Christy, which should hopefully have a positive effect on the party. I still believe that a separate Carney-style Liberal Party would be good for everyone in the province. I also believe that we need some form of electoral reform to stop the “need” for people to coalesce around two main choices. I have been an active Liberal for over 40 years federally, provincially (and, more recently, municipally) in good times and in bad times and I am not a fan of polarization. With no Liberal brand on the ballot at this time, we are in uncharted territory. We don’t know how long this will be the case.

😬😳
A lot of terrible takes about what just happened in the BC provincial election. Lorne Doerkson and his team ran an almost flawless campaign, articulated a compelling vision for the province, and did so WITHOUT abandoning key conservative priorities or principles, including DRIPA, SOGI and ending safe supply. Those trying to use this victory to argue the federal Conservative Party needs to abandon its conservative principles in order to win an election are doing so either disingenuously or ignorantly. Conservatism, thoughtfully communicated, is inherently and increasingly popular in all regions of Canada – and with many demographic groups.

She's not wrong 🤷‍♀️ #bcpoli
I think it has to be said. Of course we're happy Eby lost. Anyone with a functioning brain knew he had to go. So, Amen to that! But understanding what really happened in this election takes the use of that same functioning brain. Calling this BC’s first conservative government in almost 100 years ignores the obvious: that the Christy Clark Liberals are back, this time dressed in blue instead of red. Let's not forget that Christy Clark's Liberals became so unpopular that voters turned to the NDP. So it feels a lot like we've swapped the same old for, well, the same old. I like Lorne, a former BC Liberal himself, and I'm willing to give him a chance. But let's call it what it is. I'll judge this BC Liberal 2.0 government by its actions and results, and I sincerely hope those reflect the promises made to voters. Truth should come before narrative. The media pundits, and plenty of others, should try it sometime.

I was there, and I totally agree that @Dave_Eby made a very classy resignation. I really fear the direction the new government maybe taking us. Thank God for @PtFry @SChandraHerbert and our strong LPC pacific Caucus. #bcpoli

@Dave_Eby made a classy resignation speech as Leader of BC NDP. He almost seemed relieved. And at least , he held his seat. #cdnpoli

this whole "first conservative government in decades" thing is getting pretty annoying. here's our last conservative premier christy clark, who was in power until 2017, explaining why electing right-wing governments is not new in BC:
Canadian province of British Columbia just elected a Conservative government for first time in decades. Here's part of the story why, me in the @theAtlantic from 2025 theatlantic.com/internationa…

Many of their team are pre-Vatican II "rad trad" Catholics, and I believe Angelo is also a devout Greek Orthodox Christian. So none of this surprises me...🤷
