Youth baseball is a mess. Thankfully some guy named Jim Kardashian is doing a Netflix series on it so that should make it better.

One of our boys told me his buddy’s dad asked why he listens to me about recruiting
“The guy didn’t even play college ⚾️”
Yeah that’s the point numbnuts.
Difference btw me and you is I could have but I screwed it up.
My life’s work is keeping others from doing the same.
Replying to @JeffStanek1
Since 2015, covering peak shift era to present, 72% of bunt attempts have been converted to outs at the MLB level - and ~0% have yielded extra-base hits. Again, it's player and situation specific. If you can get on base 35%+ of the time as a bunter, yeah, you should do it often.
When I become benevolent dictato….I mean president the first executive order signed will be a secret police force at youth baseball games to silence all random “coaching” from the bleachers.

“Should my __ yr old play multiple sports?”
This question completely misses the point.
Your kid should play the number of sports he or she wants play.
You shouldn’t be managing it like a development plan.
They should play what makes them happy.
Even at the most elite levels, a baseball player attempting to hit or throw a ball effectively while having a conscious thought in his mind of how his body should move while doing so is screwed.

Helping kids find a place to play college baseball isn’t as hard as some make it out to be.
Yes, recruiting is tougher now. But too many coaches oversell players, overpromise, and target schools where kids can’t compete.
Be honest about their ability. It’s that simple.

If you ever wonder why kids act how they do, go sit in the stands and listen to parents for 10 mins at a HS game. It’s wild to experience…Grown adults legit trashing other kids out of jealousy & lying about their sons recruiting.. salut to the parents just supporting their sons

The unpopular truth about the portal and “5 for 5” in baseball is that it’s resulting in more HS guys going where they should go rather than where they wanted to go.
Saw this kid throw back-to-back 56 pitch CG’s two summers ago.
