I’ve been asking this going on three years and still no one can answer the question. An economic event horizon where it all collapses on itself is the closest analogy I can get to what is going to happen. UBI is delusional and an impossibility when the AI companies are just continuing the financial circlejerk going on and eventually they’ll run out of money when none of these businesses have any more paying customers. This nonsense of extreme productivity and payouts making everyone rich is some real ketamine fueled insanity.
While many Americans rightly complain about the "affordability crisis" in hopes of gaining more financial support from the government, the fact is that the government itself is largely responsible for the affordability crisis in the first place.
Case in point: laws preventing ranchers from delivering lower-cost meat for sale in their communities.

This might be the most terrifying chart in real estate.
Median household income: $85,000.
Income needed to buy the median-priced home: $123,000.
That's a $38,000 gap - 45% MORE than the median household.
For decades, home prices and incomes moved together.
Then we broke the housing market.
Now we're expecting the next generation to buy homes their incomes can't support.
Who exactly is supposed to buy all these houses?
The math doesn't work. And math always wins.

🇺🇸🇺🇦 MUSK AND TRUMP’S SATELLITE POWER PLAY IS BACKFIRING WORLDWIDE
Elon Musk and Donald Trump wanted to demonstrate just how much power Washington and its technology giants hold over Ukraine’s communications.
Instead, they have given governments around the world another reason to build satellite networks that neither the White House nor a single billionaire can switch off.
The temporary Starshield shutdown and pressure on Ukraine have brought a much bigger issue into focus: technological sovereignty.
And the response is taking shape across several countries.
🇨🇦 CANADA: Ottawa has signed a CAD 2.3 billion agreement with Telesat to expand its Lightspeed satellite constellation, incorporating secure military communications. Canadian manufacturer MDA Space is also receiving additional satellite orders.
🇫🇮 FINLAND: ICEYE and Nokia are working together on sovereign satellite communications infrastructure, allowing European governments to own and control their networks, including encryption, rather than depend entirely on foreign providers.
🇪🇺 EUROPEAN UNION: Brussels is expanding its IRIS² satellite network, with plans for 348 satellites and an additional €4 billion in funding. Airbus and Thales Alenia Space are involved in manufacturing and secure government communications systems.
🇰🇷 SOUTH KOREA: The domestically developed Nuri rocket has deployed 14 payloads, including reconnaissance and military satellites, strengthening Seoul’s independent space capabilities.
🇯🇵 JAPAN: Tokyo is investing approximately $1 billion in direct-to-device satellite communications, designed to keep ordinary smartphones connected during disasters and military emergencies.
🇩🇪 GERMANY: Isar Aerospace’s Spectrum rocket has reached orbit, marking another step toward independent European access to space.
And perhaps the most important developments concern Ukraine itself.
🇺🇦 UKRAINE: The UASAT project has completed its registration with the International Telecommunication Union. Preparations for the UASAT-NANO test satellite are underway, laying the groundwork for a Ukrainian-controlled constellation.
🇨🇿 CZECH REPUBLIC: Prague and Kyiv are advancing cooperation on Suziria, a proposed optical reconnaissance satellite constellation. Ukraine is also expected to receive backup communications capacity through Europe’s GOVSATCOM system.
These projects are at different stages, and not all are direct replacements for Starlink. Some provide broadband, others military communications, reconnaissance or independent launch capabilities.
But they point in the same direction.
Governments increasingly recognize that critical communications cannot depend on the political decisions of another country or the personal discretion of a private technology executive.
Musk and Trump wanted to demonstrate who controls the switch.
They may have helped convince much of the world that nobody should have that much control in the first place.

i'm not a whistleblower. I don't work at Lilly, Novo or any of the big labs
but there is a massive shift happening in human biology right now.
it's sitting in press releases and almost nobody reads them
the last 6 months alone:
- a once-daily pill roughly doubled median survival in metastatic pancreatic cancer (13.2 vs 6.6 months)
- a one-time gene editing infusion cut hereditary angioedema attacks 87%, and 62% of patients stayed attack-free and off all other prevention for 6 months
- a one-time gene edit for cholesterol dropped LDL up to 62%, and it held for over a year
- a personalized mrna vaccine beat keytruda alone in a 1,137 patient melanoma phase 3
- retatrutide hit ~28% weight loss in a phase 3
- an ai-designed drug entered phase 3
- a pill that regrows hair passed its second phase 3
- an immunotherapy that could let some rectal cancer patients skip surgery, chemo and radiation just got fda approved
- a man lived 271 days off dialysis on a pig kidney
- human cells were caught passing chromosome-sized chunks of DNA to their neighbors, and it changes how the neighbors behave
we are on the verge of an era where the human body is a software problem and the update cycle gets shorter everyday
stick around, it's going to get weird

The guy who kept Shaq and Charles Barkley in line on TV for 37 years used to spend his mornings shaving and dressing his son, who could barely move and breathed through a ventilator. Then he'd go to work and laugh with those guys all night like nothing was going on.
Tonight Ernie Johnson said this season will be his last, and Barkley tried to thank him on air and couldn't get the words out.
I don't think most people watching that clip know what Ernie was carrying all those years.
He and his wife Cheryl adopted Michael from an orphanage outside Bucharest in 1991, when he was 3. He had Duchenne muscular dystrophy, and doctors didn't think he'd make it to his 20s. He lived to 33. When Ernie was home, getting Michael ready in the morning could take an hour and a half, and Ernie did the showering and shaving and dressing himself.
In 2006 he told viewers he had non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, and by the end of October he was back at the desk while he was still going through chemo.
When Michael died in 2021, Ernie wasn't on the show that week, and Shaq, Kenny and Chuck spent about six minutes trying to hold it together while they talked about a kid most of America never met.
Then last year he had heart bypass surgery, and this summer he turned 70.
Ernie's dad pitched in the big leagues and then called Braves games for decades, and he gave his son a rule Ernie's talked about forever: if somebody spikes you at second base, never rub.
If you've ever wondered why nobody's been able to copy Inside, that rule is a big part of it. Barkley could say the dumbest thing imaginable, Shaq could fall out of his chair, Kenny could go running to the big board, and Ernie would just pick it up and bring it back to basketball with that yellow legal pad. Those three got to be chaos because the guy in the middle never made his own stuff the show.
He still calls hosting a "get-to job," and he was calling it that the same year he buried his son.
So when Charles Barkley, who's roasted pretty much everybody alive on live TV, can't finish a sentence to the man, that's why.
Charles Barkley and the guys give Ernie Johnson his flowers. This is a must watch.

Midterms are coming and here’s the hard truth nobody running wants you to hear. Your vote changes the name on the door. It doesn’t change the house. Congress is a pay-to-play scheme dressed up as representation. Lobbyists write the bills. Donors pick the candidates. And the people you sent to fight for you? They sell out the moment they get sworn in. That’s not politics. That’s treason with a smile. The only ones worth trusting are the ones who refuse the money — and even they fold the second power touches them. Until we get money out of politics, or until we stop treating the two parties like the only option, nothing changes. Not one thing. Wake up.
Thomas Massie 2028. 🇺🇸
Tucker Carlson is right.
Thomas Massie is one of the most conventionally conservative America First representatives the Congress has had. And the Israel lobby and the GOP decided to make a martyr out of him anyway, by making his election the most expensive House primary in American history.
Accordingly, I think the America First movement must coalesce around @RepThomasMassie for President in 2028.
And it’s not just because he has the best platform: we all know that if the GOP listened to Thomas Massie instead of Mark Levin, they wouldn't be facing a bloodbath next week. It’s also because of his character: Who else do you trust more not to go back on his word? Who else has a better demonstrated voting record? Who else is more honest?
We have been at war my entire lifetime despite every single president campaigning on non-interventionism. Bush campaigned on a humble foreign policy. Obama campaigned to end the Iraq War. Biden campaigned to end the Afghan war. Trump campaigned on no new wars. At this point, I’m just backing who I can trust.
@TuckerCarlson himself said it. Of all the potential candidates so far—JD, Rubio, or AOC—Thomas Massie is clearly the most principled, and the most trustworthy.
I say we @DraftMassie for President in 2028!

Absolutely infuriating
Trump admitted he blocked energy funding to punish blue states he lost in 2024, including $586 million for Illinois.
Courts ruled it illegal. He's still blocking the money.
Bipartisan permitting reform won't work if Trump ignores the law. He must reinstate the grants first.

Under Trump and full Republican control, the Pentagon just told all U.S. military bases to prepare to be fully fortified for 90 days under the FORTRESS plan, but they didn’t tell the American people anything!
And they did this one week before the midterms.
Pretty much freaking everyone out because fortifying the military bases to operate independently with no connection to the outside world with the entire grid shut down seems like there will be no help for the American people.
Like nothing.
So basically that’s like saying, “You’re on your own.”
And these people actually want you to vote for them.
And why is everyone freaking out? Oh only because Trump has been basically saying he’s restarting the war with Iran that no one wants after midterms and now the Pentagon is fortifying U.S. bases.
You want people to vote for you?
Try instilling trust with the American people that you will ensure their safety, security, and prosperity.
Not sending the message that they are on their own to starve, freeze, or eat each other while you wage world war 3.

My friend @scottahodge is doing tremendous work uncovering the broad abuse of IRS "non-profit" designations by what are functionally quite profitable businesses.
Those looking to close egregious business tax loopholes should be following Scott's work.
It’s No Joke. Nonprofit Hospitals Are More Profitable than For-Profit Hospitals
Studies find that nonprofit hospitals achieve greater profits with higher average prices than for-profit hospitals. On average, nonprofits have 29% greater profits than for-profits.

Mark Cuban says he wants nothing to do with either political party: “The Republican Party is the Trump family business, and the Democratic Party doesn’t even know what it’s doing. They both suck.” 🇺🇸
Mark Cuban: “People think I’m a Democrat. I’m not.
If it were up to me, I’d kick both parties to the curb. I think both parties suck. I’m a moderate independent.”
Tucker Carlson: “If you were advising Elon, would you tell him to stay out of the Republican Party and try to win some seats for common sense? Would you back him?”
Mark Cuban: “It depends on the policies and the politicians they were putting forward. Yes, I’m wide open to that.
We need to look at each individual situation on its own merits. I just don’t care about either party.
The Republican Party isn’t the Republican Party anymore. It’s the Trump family business.
And the Democratic Party doesn’t even exist anymore because they don’t even know what they’re doing, and there’s nobody in charge.
They both suck.”

Thomas Massie just said the quiet part out loud.
Voting in the midterms will only get you “different clowns.”
“They’re all clowns.”
Then, he revealed how to actually make a difference from firsthand experience.
Even Democratic Rep. Chellie Pingree had to admit:
“That’s about as good a metaphor as I’ve ever heard.”
This is what he said:
“People talk about how you get better people in Washington.”
“How do we replace those clowns?”
“How do we get better clowns?”
“This November, you’re going to get different clowns.”
“Spend more of your energy getting the clowns to get in the clown car you want.”
“Instead of trying to get a different clown, just accept they’re clowns.”
“And then treat them like cattle.”
“Make sure they feel the electric fence.”
“Then you won’t even have to turn the fence on someday.”
