As a parent of a 2026 recruit who just committed, I can tell you exactly why UTSA is the perfect fit for my son Jacob and why the sell is still very real. For us, it came down to relationships, development, and culture. @CoachTraylor and his staff were honest, consistent, and intentional with Jacob from day one. There was no fluff, no pressure — just real conversations about growth, expectations, and becoming a man on and off the field. Stability isn't just about headlines, it’s about the people who show up for your kid every single day, and UTSA has done that. UTSA also offers a clear path for player development, especially for guys who want to play early, get coached hard, and maximize their potential. The Roadrunner program has proven they can develop talent, send players to the league, and build a winning culture year after year. On top of that, the City of San Antonio is behind this program. The support, the energy, and the opportunity to build something special in a growing football city is unmatched. Not every kid wants to be “just another number” at a massive program — some want to matter, to help elevate something, to be a foundational piece. For Jacob, UTSA checked every box: Real relationships. Real development. Real opportunity.
